I always like the run and gun, plus hipfire potential of the P90. Admittedly I am not the best shot. Plus I get antsy and can't stay in one spot for too long. I'm that guy that will rush a point over and over again until I can help take it haha.

I remember when the P90 was first added to Counter-Strike.

I am old.

I remember the FN-P90 for its proven Alien-Fighting pedigree

Hell yeah! Stargate!. That's the first TV show I remember seeing it in. I know it was in I think it was Tomorrow Never Dies as well around that same time.

Ah yes, the foremost anti-G'ould weapon. Sure, there were a variety of far better weapons for the job but they didn't look cool dammit.

What's the point in tromping around the universe if you can't look cool.

The FN-P90 is the Desert Eagle of sub machineguns.

There was a azur lane and world of warships collab as well as a bunch of other moe promotions, there also has been plenty of guns/military and moe already. It is just not as popular here. It is a moe cliche with things like azur lane, kantai collection, girls und panzer. Those are just the ones I know from seeing them around so much. It is a super popular trend right now. military moe is a genre for sure. This trend has been going on for a long time. Even in very recent times there is Nekomiya Hinata.

That collab was not well received by the community as I recall. The west doesn't do military moe. However, those shows tend to be Cute Girls Doing Cute Things. In this case we have only one Cute Girl Doing A Cute Thing in the entire show and it's a show that otherwise has a gritty setting to it. With the added irritant of her not only being the CGDCT but also being the naive protagonist of that genre in having to ask needlessly incessant questions in order to explain the hobby to the viewer.

the NA forums for World of Warships is not a good indicator of popularity :P
hell, there's options to turn weeb shit off in game so a lot of the complaints can be solved by that

a lot of the top level players are weebs, and weebs spend a lot of money
the specifics of the collab have not been announced yet, but I can see the collab being successful like the Haifuri one before

Considering "Squad Jam" is for squads of up to 6 players and they came in with a party of two, they must have supreme confidence in their abilities.

I was hoping this would sort of give a fresh new look to the series much like SAO did in it's first season and I have to say, it didn't disappoint. I am liking the cute look of the main character and the big thuggish guy. Hopefully it only introduces new characters and asuna and kirito stay far away.
I really hope it stays at a good pace cause I really liked the first episode.

Oh look you said the west doesn't do military moe, but this is a anime.. anime comes from japan.... yeah.... I fail to see why you would come to a anime site if you aren't looking for Japanese stuff... Like I said this has been going on for a long time. It isn't going away... Why are you coming to a anime site expecting things to be westernized? Personally I found it funny that manchilderen got mad over a cartoon promotion... btw the azur lane one isn't even coming to the west makes sense since the games isn't available to the west lol. Which comes back to my point.... why are they doing a promotion you will never see? oh because the world isn't just the west, you got China and Japan. This "military moe" show just might not be for you...

If you don't like it good for you that is your opinion, but keep in mind there is a moe military market and they are going to continue to make those shows. If you thought the marketing was trying to deceive you... I fail to see it. How is the cover image, a girl dressed in pink with a pink gun not screaming "military moe'?

Not bad. Pretty rushed feeling and exposition heavy first episode but it was solidly entertaining nonetheless. I was most hyped by the real world LLENN, Karen. Love that character design and more interested to see her story than anything tbh lol.

Now let me tell you. I'm a judgemental prick so I see moe girl avatar in an anime I cringe as I tip my fedora over my face. How dare SAO even grace my pristine and majestic eyes. I see the pink and I assume marketing trash. Context does not matter when I know all. And my knowledge tells me that SAO is trash thus this is trash.

So sjw-feminist to have a mary sue in this show. F***ing didn't even use tactics or strategy and won because "Hur dur I'm a girl and the MC"

Not a huge fan of SAO, but I may check it out for next year's Anime Challenge thread, despite the fact that I hate and do not feel most anime artstyles since the mid 2000s. Btw, I watched Ordinal Scale for the Challenge thread and it was a passable anime flick.

Ah truly a fellow sir and a man of culture. I'm glad you too enjoy the classics and are as judgemental as me. How dare better technology get in the way of our superior tastes and nostalgia.

*Tips fedora*

*Gives thumbs up*
