Synopsis

Mobius is a perfect digital world for the imagined benefit of humanity by μ, a virtual idol program that attained sentience and self-awareness. Only humans who are suffering in the real world and strongly relate to μ's songs are lured into Mobius.

Once they enter, people often forget that the real world exists. Regardless of age or gender, they are turned into students and forced to experience school life over and over, which μ considers "the most radiant time in a person's life."

CR has the first episode up now. Seems to be 8:30 for their streaming time.

Not bad, I actually like the idea behind this series. It also presents a concept that seperates fiction from reality. Really curious to see how the world fiction will evolve though.

The MC so far is okay. Nothing too impressive but I am very curious to understand them better. I think the main selling point of the first episode is the concepts and how they can affect the characters and story as a whole. Animation quality looks fitting for the show. The white and black coloring of the scenes creates a sensation of being separated from reality. First episode has my interest for what it's shown. It can easily be a hit or miss so I hope it doesn't bomb.

I should also say the music is decent, not great imo but works for the show.

I really liked the psychological underpinnings of the first episode and hopefully we'll get a little more info into what's really going on in the next.

One of the few shows this season I was really looking forward to and the first episode did a pretty good job delivering. Visual quality was a little inconsistent but it was never all that bad and I really liked the style. The songs are really damn good, as is pretty much required when the focus of the series is an AI Idol. It did seem a little up it's own butt with the psychology and philosophy but I'm guessing once that's established and the world is built it will move on from it. Just a really solid and largely well executed foundation for what will hopefully be a cool series.

It is interesting that this series is airing in the same season as the Persona 5 anime given the pedigree of the two series and the sort of similar material they mine.

Episode 1

We are introduced to our MC who experience deja vu but doesn't really pay attention to it and instead lives out his regular life. That is until he hears μ new song and notices that someone is asking for help. He tells his friends about but all of a sudden they start acting weird and one of them attacks someone. We than see a graduation take place and than times repeats itself with MC repeating his school life all over again. Once he finally acknowledges that his life has been repeating μ shows up and some students change into monsters attacking students. Our MC runs away with his girl until a senpai helps them out with the monsters chasing them. The first episode turned out really great I'm already hooked.

Hmm, it seems like it could be neat. It's definitely got me curious to see what's going on. So far it looks something like The Matrix if it were run by Kizuna Ai.

I've played this game all the way through, and I have high hopes for the adaptation, especially with this first episode which is a very strong start! It offers some world-building which was desperately needed in the original game. However, one scene in particular really bugged me...

That was a weird and confusing way to start a show.

So you name your show after an insane Roman emperor, then reveal that your protagonist isn't exactly firing on all 12 cylinders, and then zombies controlled by Miku.
They needed to take the flower thing to the max and go full flamenco.

Well finally got to watch this, very cool so far. Always like the philosophy angle, very Matrixy. Another show with a muted color palette, I like that they're exploring some new areas art wise this season. Funny next episode preview.

The first episode was decent but I was let down by the addition of magical girls and boys. If you want to try to make something to make you question your own perception and psyche you don't need to dumb it down to something a 12 year old would watch.

That being said I know nothing about the game but since I'm watching anime and not playing a game that shouldn't matter. Overall seems like it will probably be a decent series but saying this is philosophical or has anything to do with the understanding of psychology seems like quite the stretch.
