I can't believe Crunchyroll couldn't pick this up. I really hope Funi or Amazon jumps on this.

From what I've observed, Amazon doesn't do last minute pickups. Despite their lack of publicity this season, about the only title they have that wasn't known about ahead of time to news watchers was the new Chi's Sweet Adventure short anime this season, and given they had the previous one in 2016, it wasn't that much of a surprise.

Tokyo Ghoul:re aside, normally when Funimation gets something these days, CR gets it.

That leaves Sentai or a stealth pickup by Netflix, but I don't really see either of those happening.

I would say the best odds at this point are for a late pickup by CR. MAL only lists two other anime done by the listed studio (KJJ Animation) and both are those were original net anime that I don't recall hearing of before. The studio is based in Guangdong, China, so they may be handling their own licensing, which may be part of the problem (since, AFAIK, CR has no office in China).

It seems interesting enough.

Half length (15 minute) episodes. I liked what i saw 1st episode, but nothing really engaging enough to warrant a spot on my "must watch" seasonal anime list. I'll save this for a binge at the end of the season.

I will say though that the premise and characters are very intriguing. especially if you are into demi-human stuff like I am.

Not subtle but I liked it overall. Not sure if enough to keep watching but it is shorter than normal.

This seems to be way under the radar, its MAL entry is still missing main characters.

That executed on the premise as well as it could have, a weird mix of really creepy and kind of dark but also cute and heartwarming. The shorter than usual episode length is a little strange but I also feel that, at least with the story in the first episode, if it was longer it may have dragged a bit. Solid if not amazing debut that I'll be sure to keep an eye on for a little while at least.

Well, since it’s clear nobody was willing to give this series a chance! I guess we can call it now that this isn’t even going to get licensed...

Sometimes I really wish I had lived in Japan

I managed to find episode 1 sub on a "grey area" site and managed to watch it before it was removed. It is funny and I'd love to see the rest of it but I have come to the conclusion this is an Asia Only Show.

I gave it a look on the dark side seeing that this is just about the only way I'll be able to watch it. Given its Chinese roots, I wasn't expecting much out of it. Anyway, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was as it had its amusing moments and stuff, all while it does a solid job of balancing the dark and heartwarming seeing that their family situation is less than ideal, at least between them and their parents. But the five of them are living quite a happy life together, and being abandoned probably made them realize how much they mean to each other. Episodes are half-length, and a premise like this works out well for it. Anyway, I was just checking this out of curiosity more than anything, and regardless of whether or not it was picked up for streaming, I wasn't planning to stay with this show for very long. Not bad stuff, but not exactly something I'll want to keep on watching.

It's too bad more folks aren't watching this. Episode 6 is now available from those Japanese Cat places. and we get some strong background information on just what the "parents" were up to as well as learning more about the "twins". Unfortunately because of how it's available and who's making it there are few places that consider it "real" anime and so discussions on places like reddit's anime forum are usually deleted.

Guess I should know better than to expect niche to get proper treatment.

I watched the first few episodes but just sort of ended up not really enjoying it. There's not too much this season I'm really digging anyway but this series just fell pretty flat for me a few episodes in.

To be honest I was on the verge of doing that myself until this last episode. I can't blame you for not wanting to invest the time to take a second look, but it might be worth it if you can. My .02 worth anyway...
