Years ago, before we got Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix, we used to watch anime on Toonami's streaming service, Toonami Jetstream. It featured shows like Star Blazers/Space Battleship Yamato, Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, Patlabor, and animated music videos from Daft Punk and the Gorillaz. And, because we were using dial-up at the time, the quality of these videos were friggin' low, and they took too long to actually load.

But in a way, I feel like Toonami Jetstream essentially predicted Toonami's inevitable doom. Nowadays, with fast wireless internet, we can practically watch as many high-quality anime series as we want on Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll, to the point that Toonami Jetstream, like Toonami itself, would have felt redundant in this day and age. And we all have Toonami Jetstream to thank for making these other streaming services reduce Toonami into what is essentially a decaying fossil from a long gone time period.

EDIT: Actually looked up Toonami Jetstream, and it turns out that, back then, it was actually called Toonami Reactor.

Yeah! I remember Toonami's flash site, it had MAR, Hikaru no Go and stuff.
