Looks like it's going to be delayed just like with Hinamatsuri and DxD since no time has been announced as the Funimation stuff is having first episode jitters for some reason.

It airs in Japan in 30 more minutes.

I guess we will know in about 2 hours if it is delayed.

Actually, Abema TV is airing it now. CR will probably have the stream up this week but I wish they give a more precise schedule.

Episode 1 is up.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/steinsgate-0/episode-1-missing-link-of-the-annihilator-absolute-zero-769499

Episode 1

The mad scientist Hououin Kyouma is back or should i say former mad scientist as now he is living a normal college students life. Okabe surprises Faris, Ruka and Mayuri that his in a club and is going on group dates. Shit that even surprised me lol. Meanwhile Daru is trying to make the time machine and Suzuha is living with him. We even get to see Daru's wife and she's really cute. Okabe, Faris, Ruka and Mayuri show up at the lab and after a little misunderstanding Okabe has a little alone time with Suzuka where she tells him that he still has time. At the end we are introduced to Maho Hiyajou who is a 21 year old loli who is translating english for someone. Its also shown that they made an AI using Kurisu data on stored memory and this will surely end up pulling the mad scientist back. Well the first episode started out great and its great to see the cast one more time. Looking forward to more.

Episode 1

I remember that Suzu is from the future, and Mayuri is back to being her usual stuff after what could have happened to her back in the summer. Just when things are getting to normal for Okarin, that changed in a hurry with his vision of Kurisu and other getting killed, as well as the appearance of Maho. Quite an ominous way to begin this new series.

Holy shit.

That was great. Not only did it bring a very familiar mood and feel of the previous season but the episode itself was very well balanced between the character introductions and setting up for more this season. I also really like the psychology (Okabe's PTSD) used from the episode even though he's in the Beta World line now.

The OST is great, really bought out the sci-fi thriller expectations that I was expecting.

Animation looks fluid and is just like the previous season. White Fox did a great job so far and I have good hopes for the show.

EL PSY CONGROO.

Huh. For some reason, I was expecting this to be set further in the future. Anyway...

RIP Mad Scientist Hououin Kyouma; Hello Tennis-playing Normie Okabe Rintaro. We also meet Cosplay Mom Amane Yuki and Diminutive Scientist Hiyajo Maho. Maho seems like she'll be fun. I wonder what Shining Finger is up to in this world-line...

And someone better call Falco, because it looks like Okabe is about to get rocked by Amadeus.

I am not sure how I feel about this first episode.

Yes, the Visual novel is much more pessimistic then the first one and yes the beginning of the story is dark and depressing but the way they re-introduced us to the characters in the anime isn't nearly as effective as how the visual novel did it. Rather then having that scene of mayuri in the future, they should have just started things on the top of the radio building.

Edit: I didn't realize that they had actually gone back and changed the original ending of the first anime in a rebroadcast to make it into the beginning of SG:0.

They subbed tuturu as "too-too-roo"? Damn, this really is the darkest timeline.

Welp..... overall, it was an okay start. I was somehow hoping they'd begin it with Okabe backing out on a "retry" to save Kurisu (a retry that he did on the first series) and therefore, landing on this worldline instead (along with the repercussions of being unable to cope with Kurisu's death). But I suppose I can let it pass with just the rooftop scene and Suzuha in the lab putting on a mention as to why she's pissed.

Great first episode. Followed the graphic novel just moving some stuff around. Can't wait to see Amadeus next episode! Extremely happy they kept the OP singer the same, that was a huge +++ for me.

Yeah, the 23β. That one was released a few years ago, and 'tis why I somehow felt odd diving into the beginning of this series, right into the beta worldline.

Ahh~ but as mentioned, its trivial.
