I missed this so much.

The voice seems a bit off. are they the same as previous season?

Pretty sure they all reprised their roles yeah. But it also has been 13 years since the last season, so lmao

Not watched this show before. Villain seems a bit OP.

I enjoyed it though so now I'm conflicted about whether I should binge the previous.

Man I sure have this show. I gotta say the animation is pretty damn fluid.

Great to have this back (though for me, I did just finish Second Raid a few weeks ago)! Although, Second Raid aired 13 years ago, this felt like a very natural continuation for me. I wonder if those Arm Slaves have sound and shock dampeners. While they may be using stealth, their huge masses would produce a lot of noise and a bit of rumbling when they're moving.

Sousuke asking to hold Chidori's hand was cute; a nice baby step in their relationship. Thank goodness Chidori asked Sousuke to come over. If not, Tessa's brother and those Arm Slaves wouldn't have much trouble in abducting her.

For some reason I remember the original series being a bit more silly than this. Which is actually a good thing. I never was much into the comedy of the original.

It was sillier, yes. More slapstick comedy / romcom and Chidori was utterly insufferable as a character. Then Fumoffu made a complete joke out of the show. Then the real second season started and really shifted the show towards serious biznezz. But Chidori was still awful. -.-

She hasn't been too awful here so far. But I don't hold out any hope.

That's what I recall most from the original. That and the Tuatha de Danaan. The sweet, awesome, Tuatha de Danaan.

I almost didn't give this new season a shot because she was so annoying. Here's hoping! And here's hoping for lots of the Tuatha de Danaan.

I'll give this a shot but man, even her voice. Nrgh.

I'm all for tactical submarine action however.

For those bringing it up, FMP and Fumoffu were more "silly" at times, especialyl Fumoffu being a spin-off.

Things got a little more series in Second Raid.

It looks like this seriously isn't missing a beat. It looks and feels like there was no time between SR and now this, othan obviously a little more "cleaned up" visuals.

I am just glad to see Kaname again.

OOhhh we are finally back.

I am so excited to hear Tomokazu Seki san as Sagara again. He has been getting more and more work lately and I am really happy for him.I am glad I have met him twice in my "going to convention" and "meet-up with the seiyuu" hobby.

And we are finally continuing the story and it looked more on the darker side.
Since I didnt read the manga , I am curious to see where the story goes

Cant believe it has been 16 years , but I first saw this in english and I loved the ADR version and for those who has not watched this, one should watch the very first inorder to get to know the characters and understand the first mission.

So watch Full metal Panic and then the Full Metal Panic Second Raid.. FMP was lighter and sillier for the most part but its gets to the main story in second Raid

I would say yes. This literally picks up after Season 3. Season 2 you can skip though as it's mostly spinoff stuff.
