So I brought this up in the discussion thread for Darling in the Franxx but since things just disappear there I was hoping to have a kind of fun discussion about how stories play out and whether or not the really deliver a proper execution of drama and story telling.

I specifically will be using what has happened in episodes 13 and 14 of the show but please feel free to talk about the concept of proper story telling if you'd like.

This is what I said in the forum.

So here's my thought and I apologize if it has already been said somewhere, but if we follow the idea that Zero Two committed the "sin" of manipulating and lying to Hiro, and the "confession" is all of this coming to light, wouldn't that mean that we should see a "repentance" or "retribution" in the next episodes?

I mean think about it, she has been doing some pretty bad stuff throughout out her life, killing pilots and lying, (I know she been abused and so many other things so I'm not deciding her fate by any means) and although she didn't know it she did betray the one boy that was kind to her from the start. Actually, he has been supporting her and helping her this whole time so she was even unfeeling towards that when she tried to kill him.

So would this be the set up for her to start to "atone" for the "sins" she just "confessed?"

There's still some hope for a good story continuation right?

I don't usually like where a situation seems forced to go a direction for the sake of "more episodes" and it feels like these last two episodes where telling one story in 13 and forced it to play out in a way that it most likely wouldn't have for the sake extending the story. But my above statement would at least feel like a purposeful use of the forced story telling.

Anyway, I love stories and the emotions they bring, I was just looking to chit chat about it with anyone interested.

Thanks!

I've moved this to the Anime forum since "Chit Chat" is more for casual personal conversation than topic-based discussion.

However, since we already have a thread for discussing Darling in the Franxx, I ask that any replies branch off into discussion that is not Darling-specific, since if everyone just keeps that show as their example, the discussion does belong in that discussion thread where you originally brought it up.

Okay, sorry about that. I just signed up for Crunchyroll so I'm still learning the forum rules and preferences. If it is better for the forum etiquette to just delete my post I won't be upset if you need to do that.

I'll try and double check the rules before I post next time.
