I'm am Amazon Prime customer considering switching to Crunchyroll or VRG. But one feature of Amazon Video I find myself using more and more these days is the option to download a video for later viewing. I use a Kindle Fire (I'm aware I'll have to sideload the Crunchyroll app), and I have a lot of free time in a location where I don't have WiFi.

Do either the VRV or Crunchyroll apps allow downloading for later viewing? (If not, I'll have to reconsider switching.)

"Crunchyroll users can link their account through VRV to get access to offline viewing for Crunchyroll shows on VRV."

VRV does, but I'm not sure if a version that can be sideloaded and still work on your Fire will have that functionality.

Sweet. That's definitely worth looking into.
