DOES GOD BELIEVE IN YOU?

This is much more important inquiry, I say. But if I can answer this directly I might say something like "Nah, I've let him down too many times". Supposing God exists, I find myself not caring. Which makes me wonder: if an imperfect human such as myself doesn't need outside validation for my existence, why should a presumably perfect being care whether others believe in Him or not? My conclusion is "Even if there was a God, thinking how many times I ****ed up in the past had let him down".

For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son and who shall ever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John: 3:18

And this is the condemnation, that light is come to the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:19

So, it was written in the bible. He did know that most humanity loved the darkness even more and we were sinners. But is it said here or in the bible that he doesn't care anymore? I don't know.

EDIT: I deleted and made small changes on the original post. Better?

Just post your opinion and we discuss it. If you're a red hot headed when it comes to discussion, then this is definitely not the best place for you, go watch some anime.

*waits for angry emo kids*

That was very hard to understand O.o Anyways, to the basic question I believe if there is a god, he is more of the deistic idea. A superbeing who neither cares nor interferes with human afairs. But I don't presume to know.

If you guys can't be civil, don't post.

From the best perspective I can come up with, it's not a matter of whether or not God believes in us or not, but whether or not we can "accept" his invitation. And this also can apply to people belonging to other religions or no religion. By doing what you can to try making the world a better place, even just little by little, in small steps, even though it seems so hopeless for we make flaws over an over again, then it is a sign of trying to accept that invitation. I suppose God could believe in us all he wants regardless of our final destinations.

EDIT: I suppose I may not make sense either but with hunger and being up at 4:30AM is quite a toll. I am going to sleep...

I'd have a similar idea of a god, if I weren't atheistic, so no, he wouldn't love me.

But if my imagination was wrong and he'd be closer to the "one and only god" in the most common religions, he might or might not love me, it's hard to tell. He/ she/ it wouldn't love me because as I don't believe in him/ her/ it I obviously make no effort to follow the rules given with each religion.

A god that truly loves humans though, should have a reason to love me as I make an effort to be a human in a way that I hope brings no shame to the word
"human" - my definiton of human of course - without expecting any rewards in afterlife.

Edit: Oh shit, I didn't see your changes, so I answered the question "Does God Love You". So now it's does he believe in you? From the little that I know about the common religions, I've only heard of tests and more tests. Doesn't seem to me like god believes in humans.

hmm... now why would an all powerful being such as god concern himself with the lives of insignificant carbon based life forms...? is it possible that he is simply bored and likes to indulge his voyeurism by being omnipresent...? Is he so insecure that he created us so that we may waste our time and efforts worshiping the unseen...?

I am a deist... I just believe that there is an entity beyond us... what it wants i don't care, why it cares i don't feel, why it trusts i don't understand... it is also possible that man created god in his own image because of his own shortcomings and insecurity... we need something to look up to and inspire us... after a while people formulated the idea of religion and sacraments and other crap... religion gives us reason to sink in depravity knowing that god being loving and all, will simply forgive the shit that we do...

everyday i blaspheme, not a minute passes by without daring the trannie in the sky to smite me... yeah... why should he care about us...? he's god... and we're beneath him...

True, we are just a groups of lifeforms who have no freaking idea how the hell we started and stepped our foot in this world. But does he really treat you as one of his beloved creation or just a pile of clay made to entertain himself? He's the highly almighty being called, God. A hope bringer, and is the form of our belief in this world. If we think highly of Him, does he even concern?

don't ask me... i don't give a flying rat's ass about whether god loves me or not... i'll even deny the holy spirit since it's in the scripture that doing so god will never forgive me... eternal damnation here i come...! god is just there and we have no idea what he wants either... (seems to love burned animals though) we're the only ones making up stories about him and his so called love... the guy is basically demanding that we worship him or suffer hell...

imagine raising an ant farm... every now and then you feel pride in your ants for being resourceful and productive and every now and then you just take a magnifying glass and go "ion cannon" on them just for the heck of it... you put a dead grasshopper near the colony and the ants rejoice...heck if they're more capable they'd build you altars and hold mass just for you...

im a catholic, a non practicing one ryt now. but i do believe that God has no definite identity. there's only one rule i believe and that is to love your neighbor as you love yourself. in order to survive in this world, i think one should have a certain level of spirituality, a belief that Someone bigger than ourselves is watching over us and expects us to do good.
i experienced a time when i hated God and i didnt believe in Him. but then for some reason this idea was exhausting and i felt dry. and it made me realise that im empty spiritualy. and soon i realised that God does not need to be like Jesus Christ or like what the bible says. as long as your God gives u d boundaries of what is good and evil.
Just do good and youll be fine..

haha. funny XD
Has same thoughts as I am.

Well, everytime I go to church I feel so low. The priest(s) always praise Jesus as the perfect image and no one even could come close to him when it comes to doing good deeds or being sinless (even if one dedicate one's life like Mother Theresa or anything equivalent to her good contribution to human society).
The bible is confusing. Some people are getting cleanse and forgiven by Lord/God from their most foul crimes they committed. But there are also some people that getting punish or meet hell for doing not-so foul crimes they committed (even if they already asked the Lord/God for forgiveness(?)).

Well, I'm not perfect, so this is the only thing I could say: http://www.crunchyroll.com/showmedia?id=34073
