Plot Summary

This is a story about you. A tale about the inside of your body... According to a new study, the human body consists of approximately 37 trillion cells. These cells are hard at work every day within a world that is your body. From the oxygen-carrying red blood cells to the bacteria-fighting white blood cells, get to know the unsung heroes and the drama that unfolds inside of you! It's the oddly relatable and interesting story that is the life of cells!

Unlike with most other shows Crunchyroll has aired this season so far, this one does have a air time announced. Every Saturday at 9:30am, and this is going to be 13 episodes long. Hopefully this show is something that can make biologists proud.

Here is the first episode: http://www.crunchyroll.com/cells-at-work/episode-1-pneumococcus-774883

Episode 1

This would surely great to watch for those taking an introductory biology class as the creators did a nice job in portraying the human body. That red blood cell girl sure has a lot to learn as can't exactly navigate her way through the body. The platelets are a bunch of cute kids, while the killer T cells sure are a tough and fearsome bunch. And then that germ managed to sneak into that box the red blood cell was transporting, and while it tricker her, it can't trick the white blood cells. The germ got a one-way ticket out of the nose as all the bad stuff gets sneezed out through those rockets. That was pretty fun and educational there as I'm well aware of a lot of those things I learned from taking biology classes in school.

Looks like this will be an informative and interesting show. I didn't know my body was in such a conflict.

Back when I was a kid, there was this show on TV called "Il était une fois… la vie" (once uppon a time… life) that was an educational show about the various systems in the body. So this is not the first first time someone decided to anthropomorphise the various systems of the human body and the the conflict between the immune system and the microscopic invaders.

The character design in this one however is a bit nicer then the old french cartoon of my youth.

For some reason it doesn't show up in my queue, yet the episode itself is clearly available on the anime page when going through the simulcast list. Weird.

Osmosis Jones is a lot cuter than I remember.

It was fun but, at the same time, it felt a little tame to me. I was expecting it to be weirder than it ended up being but, outside of the setting, it felt sort of.. normal (well, normal for anime that is).

I vote that this show be instantly promoted to the best comedy of the summer. Not only that, but it is educational also.

Well, I definitely like it better without Chris Rock, I'll say that.
