While this show has started airing, it won't be until Saturday when this show comes to HIDIVE. TBS is back to imposing is delaycast as last season, they were not the publisher for either of their shows.

I heard the overall quality of the episode is pretty good. Need to watch it in HQ version of 720P to really get the experience.

The first episode is now up on HIDIVE: https://www.hidive.com/stream/revue-starlight/s01e001

Episode 1

So it begins with a typical day at a girls theater school and for a change, Karen is on time. Just as auditions begin for the Starlight, a new transfer student has arrived, and is somebody Karen knows from a long time ago. Hikarii had been spending 12 years in England, and while Karen is eager to talk with Hikaru, the feeling isn't exactly mutual. And then Karen finds the secret theater hidden underneath the academy where she sees the revue auditions with Hikari as the lead, and meets a talking giraffe. Pretty good start there, and that sequence of events there at the end is pretty weird, but some nice eye candy. This feels just like watching Kaleido Star there with Karen trying hard to be a part of the elite troupe after being so impressed by it in her childhood.

Hell of a directorial debut.

I heard Furukawa has worked with Ikuhara, can't confirm besides their having a few credits on Penguindrum but if so the influence could explain a lot.

I wasn't too sure about this show at first but wow, after seeing the performance in the second half, it blew me away.

Incredible animation and chereography. I loved the style of the performance in general with its own unique storytelling. The character outfits looked fabulous too and made an impression that I really thought stood out by itself.

"We aill all be Starlight!"

I have a feeling this is just a tip of the iceberg and we'll see even more surprises. Great start.

lol wow that explains a lot, once the shift started I was like, I feel like I have seen this style before.

The talking giraffe sealed it.

Well that was weird, but extremely enjoyable. I had no idea what it was going to be going in and was definitely caught off guard by the twist, but it was great. Outside of the obvious qualities, the production on this show is through the roof. Great visuals and music. Really looking forward to seeing more of this.
