Statistics prove that the higher intelligence you have (Measured in IQ), the less sex you engage in. In other words, dumber people get "busy" more often than the smarter people and the natural releases of endorphins and other chemicals will often soothe the dumber people. The more often it happens, the more often one achieves a state of bliss.

So yes, in terms of pure sexuality, smarter people tend to have sex more. Sex is chemically proven to help with the stress level of individuals.

This also explains why our population keeps having more dumb people than smart people.

Yes, because in some cases you can be so intelligent that you cannot connect with your age group.

I dont think it's a matter of smart or not smart, rather it's a matter of how deep and how much you think of life. Generally, most smart people are the ones who think and reflect more so they usually get more depressed as they realised how imperfect our world is. I realised how many talented authors or painters often fall into depression, i guess it is because they think too much about life. Recently i too have thought a lot about life, and i realised that i get more and more unhappy, i think it's because i realise the world isnt what i thought it was, how much is our world imperfect.

I dont like to think that "ignorance is bliss". Though sometimes ignorance may be a form of escapism from the harsh reality of life, i think we should face the reality of our lives no matter how hard it is. Hence i think that while we should reflect on our life, we should also not forget the little happiness in our lives. It's a matter of how we view things after all. A little thing such as waking up in the morning everyday can be one of the little joys in life.

You are not alone -_-, it makes my head hurt too....fml...but to answer the forum question: I would like to be smart, but also be smart enough to see that the pros and cons of life. And there are always more pros in life than cons.

is it better to be blind - ignorant and happy, than to see - understand the ugliness ?

i think
no it is not better to be blind - ignorant

in my opinion to be happy you should understand the world
but sure there is things that people can't understand ........ so they can try and try to understand those things
it is fun to try to understand new things
and it is fun to discover new things

well they could still be happy even if they didn't understand everything around them

it is fun to be intelligence and share information with others.........

Depends how you're using the word 'smart'. There's intelligence, wisdom, and knowledge. The three are capable of making you unhappy, each in their own way. The lack of the aforementioned could also provide discomfort (unhappiness), in their own ways as well. In the end, it's really all about:

1. Personal Preference
2. Balance

I would rather have a shitty life than being dumb. I agree with you that being smart doesn't mean you see the bad points but you are able to do things that make you happy that dumb people will never be capable of.
But also, the idea of faking youself is just horrible. I'm a control freak and I want the truth, how stupid it could be.

You guys probably heard of that oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, the first thing I thought was: "Couldn't you just burn the oil?" And I still think that's a good idea.

I.Q. is one thing BUT a good emotional I.Q. counts also...
Relating to people and their feelings is very very a part of the human experience....and you can belong to Mensa but if your heart is cold...
you are missing so much....

So,
Don't worry, be happy!!

yes, i think it does..
sometimes when youre smart you tend to over-analyze good things that happen to you...
you just dont feel and always ask...how did this happen?
and analyze again..

No, I think becoming smarter, just means that your perspective changes. Events that you could take pleasure from before may seem less enjoyable, because you have a different understading of it. If you ever reach the point where you think you're too smart to be happy, then you're probably not actively searching for new experiences.

I'd have to agree with Pennypen and Kvi's posts. I know for sure that those who are considered 'smart' in society are usually the people who take a situation and are able to observe it from not only the perspective that is immediately thrown at them but also analyze it from other perspective and see the good and bad in that particular situation. . .but then from there that same 'smartness' that is being used doesn't necessarily bring unhappiness but more so a massive headache from over-analyzing what can be done to neutralize the situation which leads to flat out frustration. At that point this said 'smart' person would then already know what it would take to relieve them self of that frustration, or if they don't already know they will then find a way to which tends to be much easier since they are 'smart'.
idk just an idea

Why not be both?

But if I had to chose one, it'd be brain's.
