Idea Factory recently released plans to possibly translate one of their games into English. They've set up a few polls and have asked fans what they would like to see in America. The games they are most likely going to translate would be either Hi iro no kakera, Ouran High School Host Club, or Will O' Wisp. Hi iro no kakera, and Will O' Wisp were the most requested from the members on the board where the poll was held and Ourah was only a good idea because it has such a popular fan-base.
I think it's safe to say that we'll be seeing Otome games here in America before you know it. I'd like to see them now, but if it's for Idea Factory, I'll wait.

Just wished they had Edel Blume in english....sighs but if that's true when are they planning on doing it? I hope it would be something like that showing rated for the game so that way the kids can buy it cause you got to be 18 or older to buy the game (showing your ID and everything) since now I think U.S to put rating on all the videos game.

Since what her name try to banned videogames?

I heard about Princess Debut and thought about buying it. I'm not too worried about not being able to go on dates with anybody XD I kind of prefer the visual novel type games.

Hey guys, I just heard theres a group company of some sort planing to make Otome game translations! Their group is called "Idea Factory Japan" and have considered the idea of making their games go arbored! I saw the quote from a diffrent site and sparked me in flames, home it is ok to share this here :0

Hello everyone!

This is Steve from for Idea Factory Japan. I was made aware of this message board from a post I made on the Tokyopop website. As you may be aware we have been seriously thinking about translating and releasing our otome games abroad for some time now. I've personally been involved with contacting communities like yours and getting feedback from the fans as to what kind of game would stand the best chance of success with a US release.

It is often said for example that foreign gamers do not like graphic novel style games unless they are made more interactive and are more gameplay focused. Consequently we are considering making changes to our ADV games to accomodate this. A question I have for you all is What for you are the most important elements in a date simulation style game? For example, is it the story, characters design, artwork, gameplay interaction e.t.c e.t.c.

I`d love to hear some input from you on this thread I promise I won't just churn out an automated response like Konami icon_smile.gif

Thanks alot
