For example, the general consensus here is that Naruto is a good anime. I think it's an overrated mediocre time sink. Other anime boards have their "pet" favorite animes, and their "pet" hated animes. For example, another board I frequent views Elfen Lied on the same level as say DBZ or Naruto. That's a bit harsh in my oppinion, but the oppinion is so entrenched that it's become the "official" oppinion and isn't up for debate.

Sounds like that board is noob Heaven. Or

Elfen Lied=teh suck

And ACDC songs sound alot alike, but their top five are rock ballad epics:

1) Back in Black
2) TNT
3) Highway to Hell
4) Big Balls
5) Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap

As long as you don't listen to them back to back, you really appreciate them compared to otherhard rockers. Did they do "I Love Rock and Roll"? It doesn't sound like them, but my Itunes has it labeled that way.

Plus, it's never a good idea to listen to one artist's songs in one sitting. I get "album ear", you just assume all the songs sound the same, and quit matching the lyrics to the mood of the song.

It's actually a very good board filled with very intelligent (though often highly biased) posters, it's just huge and absurdly strict. It has some very aggressive mods so trolls are nonexistent and nonesense is kept to a minimum. I think 9 out of every 10 topics here would get shut down there instantly, with the tenth being questionable. This place is nice and laid back and a bit more fun, (as well as all the kick ass streaming anime), but not the best place for more obscure information.

and finally by Britney Spears (God help us).

Why let her redo anybody's song? Why do artists remake the classic songs?
Shouldn't they try to make a bad song, good?

We have the technology, we can resing it. Longer, better, funkier...

But seriously, no pop singers can redo anybody's song, even the bad ones. That's a crime against Humanity.

Does anyone listen to Crossfade? They are the angrier Linkin Park meets old school ballad rock. I was speechless after "Cold" and "Colors".
When I hear more I'll definitely make a list.

I'm sorry but Crossfade is truly a horrible band to listen to. I went to a live show of theirs at Northern Lights and ended up leaving after they sung three songs. Never again will I go to a concert that has them featured no matter who else is playing.

Yikes! Good thing I hate live concerts.
I went to Disney and they had bands live, I couldn't even make out Sugar, We're Going Down by Fallout Boy. And when they show them on t.v. live, the songs feel empty.

No musician sounds good live, most don't even sound decent. Unless they are on a quiet instrument(piano) and no way in Hell am I going to a piano concert!

Yeah even I'm not that stupid for suggesting that they are #1 of all-time.
My favorite band and I'm not going to say that they are number one, actually there are four of them.
Sevendust
Faith No More
Soundgarden
Alice in Chains

Faith No More is a badass band. Alice In Chains was also the best thing to come out of the grunge scene.

He's gonna come out with the whole Nirvana was better deal that he usually throws around. I am going to disagree with him every time and he's gonna try to say how Nirvana's lyrics were like poetry to his ears.
Listen first of all he likes Dashboard Confessional and that's all that needs to be said.
That's just a very sad thing to say to others and it seems that he has no respect for himself.

the guys a tool when it comes to music and is totally lost once you turn off the FM

AIC is one of the worst things in Grunge. I already listened to that list of their best added to some I already had, they were SEVERELY overrated, to the point that most of their songs weren't even grunge, just punk rock.

I can swallow my pride at will, "Vindicated-Dashboard Confessional" is a song that is just poetry.
But are you putting words in my mouth? Yes, you are, I said that I would look through their crap to find another song like it.
How does labeling all the stuff I deleted, "crap" make me like them. The noise any emo bands make insults my ears(just like J-pop and J-rock), but if the song accomplishes a valid emotion, it has succeeded.
And I don't even fully understand Japanese lyrics when I translate it, but should that mean I ban it from collection?
