Holocaust was and still is a controversial subject...Hitler just had to push it..don't remember why he killed the jews again..I think it was because they're different..don't remember..anyhow.. Hitler was a great leader, he brought his country out the Depression which affected Germany the most after WWI. Creating a mass of enemies, Hitler "invaded" Poland. He dressed up his own soldiers in Polish uniforms and pretended to fight, Blitzkrieg. Soon after, Britain declares war on Germany and a week later, Canada follows. Hitler took most of northern Europe in a few months, with France falling, leading to the evacuation of Dunkirk, 340,000 Allied soldiers make it back to Britain Hitler had his U-boats, even into the St. Lawrence and all across the Atlantic Ocean. With Operation Sea Lion, invasion of Britain. Allies in Britain were outnumbered, and in the air battle of Britain, Allied pilots only had 24hrs in the cockpit and shot a moving target only once, where as Hitler's Luftwaffe(Air Weapon) had 9 months of training prior to the war. With great bravery and the duty to fight and win, the allies hold out and win the Battle of Britain, also with great help from it's radars. Over on the Atlantic, corvettes and freights were sunk constantly. Also, the Dieppe Raid was a complete failure as Germans mowed down Allied forces as soon as they reached the beaches. But, in 1943, the tide was slowly turning against Hitler and his forces. His U-boats in the Atlantic were critically crippled and more vessels reached Britain. Also with the invasion of Russia(Hitler hated communism despite he made a neutral agreement with Stalin.) Hitler now had to defend the eastern front. Thus making it even harder. As Allied forces conquered Italy and slowly moved it's way up to Germany, the Russian winter sets in. Wiping out most of the infantry and tanks due to malfunctions because the oil in the weapons were too thick, thus jammed. And also because Germans were ill-dressed for the winter. Some raided homes and draped curtains all over their bodies to keep them from freezing. Also, the Russians were excellent sharp shooters. Whenever a German head popped out, a bullet would go through it. And on June 6 1944, Allied forces launched the greatest of all invasions; Operation Overlord. Allies slowly went inland as the months passed by. Germany surrenders and the war is over. May 7, 1945. Hitler kills himself in a bunker right?
Allied forces found the concentration camps. A horrible site, skinny men, down to the bone. a smell so great it would make soldiers hurl. Everyone wanted to cry when they saw these camps. 6 million die, jews, gypsies, and slavs. The greatest crime a man can do is to slay 6 million innocent beings due to their inferior qualities.

Yeah..and that's about sums my knowledge of the battle in Europe.. I know more about the Pacific war... oh well..

He couldn't have been too much of a jackass , he did nearly take over the world after all.

You're talking about a man that for some damn reason decided to hate on Jews and kill off everyone that isn't blonde and blue-eyed [though he himself didn't fit into that category] because he got rejected from art school. Not only is he a jackass, he's a pathetic. Bitch needed prozac. lol i couldn't resist saying that.

I went to the Holocaust museum in Washington D.C., and I cried like a little girl. The horrible things they did to those people, not only when they were alive, but when those Jewish people died the Nazis did terrible expirements to thier bodies. I remember seeing those blown up pictures of bodies, on top of bodies. Mangled corpses everywhere. I saw a pictures of them removing some poor guys brain after he had been killed just so they could see if the Jewish brain was different. It puts something in my throat everytime I think that it could have been prevented if those people wouldnt have fed of that propoganda Hitler gave them. So stupid to think that people are inferior to you just because of a difference. Which makes me think of something else. They killed all the people with mental problems, and babies, and little kids first, because they where the weakest. Stripped them of their clothes and sent them to the gas chamber, while their mothers scream, and cry to God for mercy. It baffles me...because I dont understand how those Nazis could sleep at night.

I remember seeing a film about this, 'Schindler's List'... it's a really great film. It is very sad, but great as in it was a greatly made film. Nearly made me cry whilst watching it in history.
I heard that when the people had been killed in the gas chambers, the Nazi's even used Jewish people to go and take the bodies out from the chambers. Just imagine having to pull out the dead bodies and you see your brother or sisters or family members dead body in there... absolutely terrible.

^Don't double-post, please. Apart from that, you just bumped it, it would have sunken into oblivion if you hadn't posted, but since it's your thread, just ask a mod to lock it for you.

There was more to the holocaust then just the jews being killed off. There was a lot of religious tension and the catholic church was one of hitler's many of things he did was based on their influence. It isn't the first war that had religious influence. Hitler was one man that was able to use others hatred of the unknown to try and destroy other religions, but jews were not his only target.
