You got that right, sometimes people get caught up from "loving" someone it turns into lust.

Well for me love is like the Bible said:

LOVE IS: Shallow, deep, emotional, one night stand, suffering, euphoria, pain, healing, funny, sad, with one person, with other people, a crush, going steady, engagement, marriage, divorce, birth, death, religion, government, opposites, the same, positive, negative, always & never, songs, poems, sex, kissing, hugging, looking, etc., etc. Love is everything! Realize it.

The word "love" was a bad idea to create since it was made to describe a wide array of things without much factual evidence. There are so many kinds of love and so many feelings and emotions that fall under love. They should have a different word for each kind of emotion or relationship you feel with that person.
And if they do have to narrow it down to one word they should just stick to the word like and have an official scale from 1-15 measuring how much you like them. And different tests can gauge how much you like them.

"I like 12 you." Doesn't it sound romantic?

There is 3 kind of LOVE:

Eros: Love from other person, sexualy (males and females, girls and boys, men and women)
Filia: Love from a relative person (Brother and sister, Parent ang Child, Cousin, Aunt and Uncle, Grand Mother and grand father)
Agape: Love~(Charity, some translate it as this) The love use by the bible~ it is the love commanded by God.

Love is undefinable. Love can not be labeled under classifications by any thing what-so-ever. Love was never meant to be defined.
