Daily hygiene and don't touch your face...
Wash with a gentle cleanser, and PAT dry.. NEVER rub.

^btw i like your avatar!

Edit to below: I meant throughout the day, don't lean on your hand etc etc

Yeah, leaning on your hand/arms can cause a lot of it. T_T I always fall asleep in school and that is the cause of most of my pimples.

Has anyone mentioned ProActive?

Edit: I did use it to clear my face and it really does work. Back when I was 14 1/2 yrs. old. I used one. Then when I was 15, it cleared out. So on this day, I only used it at least once every 2 days. And I just balance my diet, but sometimes, I can be a snack grabber.

Solution: Get past puberty.

I used to break out a lot when I was a teenager. Now, it's very rare for me to break out and even when I do break out it's one or two very small ones and it's not very apparent.

Other than that. I do stay away from greasy foods (in general) and I tend to drink a lot of water since I bike and hike a lot. Then again, I did that a lot as a teenager (more so than now seeing as I was on the track team) and I still broke out!

It's just genetics!

Proactive works then doesn't. Most people whome I know went through the same thing with proactive.

Go outside and get some sun, nothing kills bacteria like exposing it to UVA and UVB rays, and plus u will look better tanned stresses (enviroment, self-induced) also affect the hormone balance and when it shifts bacteria like acne take this chance to rapidly expand during the confusion, thats what happens when ur body is under a stress, even inside ur body, bacteria and virus r hibernating (not active) and can live for years in ur cells waiting for a chance to emerge during a stressful event

Benzyl Peroxide 5% works for most people. Acutane is the next step if BP.5 doesn't work.

I don't have personal experience but that's what my pharmacy student sister says.

Most of the time though it's just the lack of a healthy lifestyle: not washing face/hands, not eating healthy food, not getting enough sleep, not changing pillow cases regularly for droolers, etc.
