i may be cold hearted but im also practical. if we televise the execution then we are creating jobs to handle it and at the same time we are showing the price of crime. So i have to stick with my idea

It costs too much. And a televised execution will never work. Ethical people wouldn't accept those jobs. You can stick to your idea that a lot of people won't agree with.

I'm all for life sentences but as far as lethal injections and electric chairs go.. I'm not a fan of it. I believe that killing someone.. even in the name of justice is immoral in itself and negates the ideals of "Just". We don't have executions where I live... not anymore. And I think it would be better off that way.

ok hypotheticaly some guy comes into your house and kills your mom dad....everyoen you love now should he just go to jail?
now me i think they should be executed in the same fashion that they did whatever it is they did be it flaying shooting shit like that

id do that job

I believe in heaven and hell.
I also believe that the punishments we give is nothing compared to what "The Big Guy" has planned.

I love my folks and I believe that even if some psycho were to kill them, they'd still go to heaven and instead bearing grudges, I'd work hard so that I could see them again.

I guess I'm a religious idiot then

Some things you just have to take on faith. And besides, vendettas are a pain in the ass.

I find it's interesting that the Conservatives support the Death Penalty but are anti-abortion and the Liberals are against the Death penalty and are pro-choice.

The thing is, in my opinion, that these criminals (ie: rapists, murderers) have had a chance to live their life. They have abused it. What has an unborn child done to anyone? Can an unborn child even defend itself from abortion? Can it hire a lawyer to argue some judge until he's blue in the face?

The killers, rapists, child molesters, etc, have the right to lawyers to get them out of this. They can even get them for free (of course the quality of such lawyers is questionable, but that's another story..

The problem with the death penalty in the US is that it isn't public. Hundred of years ago people were hung, or shot in front of crowds. People weren't hung because it was efficient, it was so people could watch their body hang there. It was a way of scaring people into obeying the law. If someone needs an incentive not to kill someone I doubt a needle will have as much of an impact as a firing squad or a noose would.

Amen, brother. Just like the Chinese, we should bill their family or closest friend for the cost of the bullet.
