They wouldn't have enough people left in the world to enforce it.
If it ever did happen, I'd start up a resistance. Black market, mass production, whatever it took to keep it.
I'd even probably create my own sword and mask, becoming an anime/manga vigilante.
I personally hope it never comes to this though. To remove it would only damage the society/government.
