No, it's not. People also fall in love with celebrities, though they never have a chance to meet them.
It's the same, basically.

This is pretty interesting...
There's nothing wrong with admiring someone that doesn't "exist"...
and i don't believe there's a certain way to fall in love either...so i used the term admiring
If you see him often in your dreams, maybe he portrays the characteristics of someone you know in person?
Perhaps the dream is hinting you to a "masked desire" you have for someone?
...hmmm

It's not dangerous, but you'll be lonely for the rest of your life this way.

Emotions in dreams can be so intense! Fear you've never experienced, hate, love... I've woken up in love with people from my dreams, just to realize they weren't real.

There was a psychology case study on a girl who made up a guy to fool some people who were teasing her and then eventually she fell in love with him and started have delusions and eventually thought he was real she would see him as though he was right there but of course he wasn’t.

After extensive therapy to deal with the emotional detachment of the imaginary guy and to deal with the issues of why she was drawn into her own fantasy and separating the fantasy from reality, she moved away to start fresh because what happened became so well known.

but yeah in dreams its normally the subconscious mind telling you something or some kind or hidden emotion, this guy could be the dream version of someone you like or have feelings for.

It would be awesome if it were a predictive dream though.

its okay if you go to your fantasies once in a while.... use it as a cpoing mechanism or something....

but pls beware that if it becomes a hobby... where you run to escape reality... or you are too coped up with your dream guy...it becomes not normal anymore.... pls remember that most of the psychiatric patients in the mental institution are lost in this fantasy... just a reminder..
