My parents work hauls them around, so their constantly busy...so I guess I don't really have to worry about them being overprotective.
& they trust me, so they take that into consideration before becoming so over-controlling or protective.

It's natural for your parents to be overprotective of you. When you become a parent, you'd be just as overprotective of your own kids.

My parents are on/off in the overprotective factor. They used to be way overprotective, but now (ever since I started highschool 2 years ago, really) they haven't been all that overprotective. Usually their overprotectiveness comes in the form of reminders or for their convenience. My mom usually is really fun and acts like a teenager, but sometimes she says things like, "You shouldn't walk to Walmart after school (cause I live in a ghetto-ish area)." or ,"It looks improper for you to go to your boyfriend's house by yourself," but I do that stuff anyway and she doesn't really care. My dad makes rules, like I can't go to a boy's house unless another girl is present, bu then he gets over it and doesn't care what I do. He lets me party and whatnot. Basically, the only things that really bug me about my parent's is 1.) I can't talk to them about sexual stuff and it makes me feel bad because I do tat kind of stuff with my boyfriend and 2.) If i break a "rule", I can't really directly bring it up to them because then they sometimes decide to enforce it again.

My parents let my brother stay out until 3AM when he left the house at 7AM but whenever anyone else tries to pull that off, they freak out.

I think they've just given up on him.
