Ha, same here. I always forget maybe 3 days after something happens, and then I can't really keep a hold on the anger, because I don't know what I'm angry about. Empty, meaningless anger directed at a person is kinda pointless, even if there used to be a reason for it. If there's no reason 3 days later, why keep it up? But then again, it's not necessarily forgiveness since I didn't make a conscious decision to forgive. Maybe I just stopped caring. If we live in the past, we won't be able to live in the present and look to the future.

well for me, it's kind of weird because I could actually forgive a person no matter how big the impact/damage they've done to me ... BUT i don't actually forget it and really remains fresh on my mind let the incident be a year ago or more than that which actually leads me to think if I've really have forgiven the person bcoz sometimes, I know --at least I'm convinced that I do forgive easily ... It's just that I can't really erase of what's been done in my memory it just stays there ... and in some unfortunate times, I tend to have grudge on someone due to that memory I can't forget... In short I can forgive ... but as long as I can not forget, that forgiveness may have an expiration date

Yes, I forgive... My friends think I'm one of the most forgiving people. But people still take advantage of that; they'd offend me, then apologize, thinking that it's ok with me since I'm so "forgiving." Yea, I'm forgiving, but it's hard for me to forget. Everything stays and will stay with me, probably until I die, even small things that are not worth remembering... So if someone takes advantage of me being forgiving, I'd forgive them, but my respect for them would decrease.

I think that it all really depends on the gravity of the situation, usually when small fights or discussions happen I tend to apply this 'forgive and forget', but when something big that is unpardonable I will not completely forgive as I will never forget it.
