Well, personally shinji, i read manga but there are a few points that need addressing:
1. How would this affect you financially, would you be able to cope? 2. Would the uploading of this manga cause the site to be slower for people who just come on to view the anime? (there is much more manga out there than anime) 3. How quickly would you be able to upload the manga onto the site? 4. Do you have a large enough staff to monitor this bit too? 5. There are many places out there hosting manga (like onemanga.com), if people really want to read manga, they can go there as it means you'll have less hassle financially, time wise etc. With all that aside, I enjoy reading my manga even though it's just Naruto and Mahou Sensei Negima but it's more to the point with if it isn't too much of a problem for you in my case |

Can you add 1 more poll option, that is: Include Manga only if anime and dramas are banned due to copyright reasons.
Just a bad feeling. |

hey! it's great that you want to expand crunchyroll and i have been a member for quite awhile, so I think it's great that crunchyroll is definitely expanding and getting more popular. however, this is just my opinion, i feel like crunchyroll is straying off from what it was once originally about - the dramas and movies (well that's what it seemed to be about when i first joined crunchyroll). it was also cool seeing asian music videos you wouldn't otherwise see on american television, but i thought the addition of "game, car, and anime" were a bit going in possibly a negative direction. just a food for thought, kind of like facebook - which was once legit and about/based around college students. with all their expansions, they kinda seemed to have lost their way because they were trying to attract larger crowds. although its very popular now, they have definitely strayed off from their purpose and have become this sellout. i adore crunchyroll and i just hope that it doesnt become a site flagged with ads, spam, chainletters, and ultimately webcrap. this is just my thoughts, i dont mean to offend anyone at all! it's just a little thought to keep in mind, because sometimes simplicity is better.

I wouldn't recommend adding manga as I think it will incur most costs on the site D:
although manga may be cheaper to host then videos, but there is a growing number of videos everyday... and I'm afraid CR cannot handle the costs... |

Nothing much to do now.

Most of the time the manga definitely beats the anime eventhough it isn't animated, it's amazing how much can happen in just a few pages and the way mangaka's can draw human emotions.
Most popular manga's are the ones mentionned before by a lot of people: Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Death Note It's no wonder their animation is also very popular. My personal favourite is Tokyo Crazy Paradise though, by Yoshiki Nakamura. I can't possibly list all the manga's I've read, but a few good one's were: - Fruits Basket - Hunter x Hunter (it's a shame of the mangaka though, I hope he gets better soon) - Ayashi no Ceres - D.Gray-man - Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne - Perfect Girl Evolution I suggest to make a picture section with scanlations, that's comfortible to read too. |

wow! that's nice! i really wanted to read mangas but i dont know much sites to find 'em and i don't even have time to search for more...and now, it would be great if crunchyroll could post mangas coz i wont have to find more sites! :3

I think you should stay away from manga now that I've given it some thought. onemanga.com already does manga really really well and its not like we need to compete with them. I'm changing my vote its now "keep CR from becoming a one stop site with long loading speeds due to people using up the bandwidth for reading manga, when they can go to onemanga.com where they have ultra fast loading speeds" phew that was a mouth full.

Shinji has got my full support. this is a great point. spoilers would be all over crunchyroll in the manga was to immigrate here. spoilers is also a big reason why manga should be kept away from CR because then the forums and comments will be riddled with spoilers from manga reads One thing I found personally when i read ahead in Bleach just recently to see what happens to Ichigo going up against Aizen in this new half. I found myself just avoiding the new bleach releases just because I know what happens for the next 4 episodes or so.....Shinji you might find a decrease in anime views because of manga |
