Help me out Name this Old Anime for $20

I saw this anime on tape about 12 years ago. It was 3 short anime films on one tape the last one is the one im really interested in. Was an abstract story about a race car driver. shows him going around a track over and over / telling his story / hes having flash backs / there's ghost like cars gaining on him/ a scene where the bolts are coming out of the car floating slow motion car is coming apart. / hes almost yelling no sound / car disintegrates / Ghost cars going around the track.... was really cool.

One of the others on the tape was about and inspector - going to an abandon factory where he had to figure out what happened there. Turns out the factory itself took over and killed everyone, and was trying to get rid of him too/ was like a smart factory where it was making coffee, but it was oil ( scene) everything was all out of wack..... was wild. Cant recall the other one. But if you know the name of the tape or the race care one I'll pay you..

Thanks

I know anime is not as popular as it was back in the late 90s/early 00s, but is the anime industry REALLY dying in the united states? If it is, was CR made because of the state of the industry?

Cr was made in an Era dominated by Fansubs. Cr was once a fansub dump for all fansubs, it once had users of the community fansub raws upload to the site (source: myself) it was a bleach episode...

anyways the anime industry has gone more legit now than 2010(?) around there because of the "simulcast" business I actually wrote a paper on Cr and simulcasting (i lol'd)

If anything anime is more dominate from 2012, many fansubbers are getting hammered and many fansubbers don't fansub anymore because it was more of a college thing and most are out of college.

Does anyone know any anime where children are the main characters? I want to find an anime with children (not teenagers) who are the focus. Largely because I write about a child character and I find it helps boost my muse to find things with other child characters in it. Any such animes?

And any animes dealing with child abuse?

Can't help much with the first thing, but for child abuse there's always Mardock Scramble.

Edit: And the protagonist of FLCL is presumably a 6th grader.

You'd probably also get more help from posting in this thread though:

I've always wondered this, but I always forget to ask. When there's an "x" in the title, as in "Servant x Service,"

1. Do you pronounce it? For some reason, I remember never hearing an "x" when I hear the characters say the show's name. Is it pronounced differently in Japanese, or do they just not pronounce it?

2. Does it have any specific meaning or connotations, i.e. a definition? It seems like it means that the two things have some sort of a connection, and I often see it denoting some sort of relationship pairing (typically yaoi pairs for some reason), but I'm not sure how that translates to show titles. Does the "x" have some sort of distinct meaning in Japanese, or is it as vague as the context has lead me to believe?

1. Depends on the series. Examples: Hunter x Hunter, the x is silent. Ladies X Butlers, it's pronounced "vs" / "versus". Project X Zone uses "Cross". For Servant x Service, I believe it is also silent.

2. It's more stylistic than anything.

You can probably google these and check their shows' wikis or look the characters up on MyAnimeList.com (which for the most part is right since it is usually checked)
For example I looked up Neferpitou on MyAnimeList and it says that its a guy

In what chapter of The World God Only Knows manga does the Goddes Arc begin so I can properly start the anime? And I don't really care if it does a recap of the manga or not, cause I still wanna read it.
