Here are some suggestions on How to create your own Anime List:

People ask “Can you recommend any good anime?” or similar questions. That’s hard, because so many people have different tastes. I’m very eclectic and love about everything. I do have my dislikes, but may still find something I love in that genre. In order to start defining your favorites, you might want to start by keeping an anime list.

A great way to explore the anime out there is to go to: http://anilinkz.com/anime-list (I don’t recommend staying on that site because I’ve had malware warnings from it, but their list is pretty extensive and the easiest to work with.) Copy their list. Then paste it to a Word or similar document page that you can edit. It's a pretty extensive list and includes episode numbers. You will want to visit periodically to see what’s new and add that to your list. Also, look at other sites for anime they don’t list. For instance, Crunchyroll is one of the few sites that carries Valerian and Laureline.

Since the list is red, you can use colors to keep track of anime. I like to change the color to Green if I’m currently watching it, Purple if I’ve finished it, Aqua blue if I can’t bear to watch it, Orange if I really want to watch it soon (Someone recommended it highly) and Blue for anime that I find out about, but can’t find a complete selection (i.e. Gegege no Kitaro has over 550 episodes and I can only find a few) on any site. You might mark it if you can only find it at one site, or to remind yourself that it’s at your favorite site (i.e. Crunchyroll) You can Tag it with letter codes if you’re looking for a certain genre. Though not complete, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Anime_and_Manga/Categories has a pretty good reference if you want ideas. Sites like Crunchyroll also subdivide by categories.

As you watch anime, update the numbers. If it’s ongoing, the number in parenthesis should be updated periodically. If it’s complete, I put a second number next to the one in parenthesis, to remind myself where I am. (i.e. Prince of Tennis (171)109) The numbers also help if you’re looking for a short or long running series. Keep in mind that some series change titles from season to season (i.e. Tenchi in Tokyo (26) Tenchi Muyo GXP (26) Tenchi Universe (26) and
Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohk
i (20)) or remake the series with a different ending or POV (i.e. Fullmetal Alchemist (119) and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (50)) You can also make notes to remind yourself to get the DVD or Sound Track when it’s released, to search a favorite song, or cosplay a character.

There is so much out there, you’re sure to find enough anime to keep you entertained as long as you like. Use the Crunchyroll Forums for ideas on what to put on your list. and where to find stuff you can't find here.

OK hopefully this is the right spot for this. It did say you could get help identifying things...

So i watched an anime on here a few years ago (before it got legal) and I had the sudden urge to watch it again. However, I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. I hope somebody can help me out here.

It was set in a school for rich nobility. Not a modern day one though. Kind of 1900's time period. It was in a fictional western country. There was a group of the top students that were special and all around respected (bishie types too). I think one day they were the ones that would be in charge of government through their family power. One of them was darker complexion and his mother (maybe stepmother) hated him and tried to have him killed. I think there was one character named louie? he didn't get along with the others but was still an amazing person. I know there were two seasons as well. The school seemed to be some sort of royal military academy as well. I just remembered about it and it's just driving me crazy trying to remember the name. I think it was something german sounding like weizz creuz (sp?)

Does anyone know what the heck I'm talking about?

It's NOT code geass btw.

Thanks to CrunchyRoll exposing me to Bodacious Space Pirates & Anime News Network for "finding shows of similar genre/themes" (and tweaking the search a bit) I stumbled across this amazing and incredibly deep & beautiful animé called "Time of Eve" here. After watching it, I absolutely MUST have/know more.

I noticed there's a manga called "Time of Eve: Another Act". Was wondering if anyone knows more details about it? Is there an English version? Can I buy it/read it anywhere?
Was also curious as to any insight if a "sequel" beyond Another Act was in the works (if anyone knows?)

Would do (next to) anything for Time of Eve: Another Act and (precisely) anything for a sequel series, movie, ova/ona, etc. lol

There is a movie, however it sounds like its just the series put into a movie, it isn't a sequel or anything. As for another Act I could only find it on amazon.jp in Japanese.

Thank You, But, after a day of submitting e-mails, passwords and names I finally got a log-in at MAL. But they did not have the Pre-existing anime list I want. ( Most of the available on line anime with episode numbers etc). My existing list took less time to create than the MAL registration did. I'm not saying that it's a bad system. But, as far as I can see, I would have to input each of the hundreds of anime individually. If I'm misunderstanding the system, let me know.

Well if you already have a text list you just have to copy paste them in with ctrl+c/v then hit complete and add one at a time. If you are happy with plain text that only you will see, then your way is fine. It's mainly for people to look at it online, and be a part of a community , you can compare rating and stuff to others and join clubs. When I made mine I had only watched like 20 things. You are using the add to your list feature right? How many things are you trying to add anyways? 1,000 or more?

Hello everyone,as you can see I am new to this forum.
I came here to seek help for finding something I was unable to find myself, hoping someone here can help me.
What I was searching was song I am almost sure it has no name and appears in Naruto Shippuden 187,starts roughly at 19:45 mark at the end of episode right after Jiraya slaps the kid.
Its sweet slow bluesy kind of solo that breaks my heart in its perfection.
Has anyone have clues what is this elusive song,it means everything to me and I will be forever gratefull to anyone who can help.
