This may be a bit of a weird question, but here we go...

I'm studying Macbeth at school in English, and because we have to go over virtually every line just to understand it, I'm finding it incredibly boring

It always helps if I can link things at school with the things I enjoy the most, and I've heard of anime like Romeo x Juliet which is loosely based on the Shakespeare play, so I'm wondering, are there any anime or manga based on Macbeth?

Thanks for your time!

I can't find any that take a significant amount of inspiration from Macbeth, sorry

You probably already know of this, but if you go to Sparknotes, there's a No Fear Shakespeare translation that takes Macbeth from Old English to Modern English, with every page having a side-by-side comparison of the two languages.

http://nfs.sparknotes.com/macbeth/

I literally could not have made it through English class without No Fear Shakespeare. It doesn't read quite as eloquently, but it's a lot easier to understand. Plus if you go to the main Macbeth page, there is some light character and chapter analysis.

Also, if there are specific character monologues or soliloquies that your teacher brings up, memorize them in the Old English thoroughly.

If you really need something anime-related for it. Someone apparently found some parallels with Light and Misa from Death Note to Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, but you don't need to put yourself through that show.

That's a shame, but thanks for looking for me!

After a quick look at that website, I can already tell that it will be VERY useful to me! It makes everything so easy to understand! *saves to favourites*

As for Death Note, I've already seen it, I'm afraid! I suppose that connection is there... vaguely >.>

Anyway, thanks for all your help! :3

It's not anime, but you could always watch Lion King.

Kimba the White Lion doesn't have any of the Macbeth elements, though.

They're very similar while also being very different.
