Uhm well it depends on what type of fighting we are talking about....

I've done some boxing at a local club. Wrestling a bit. Judo and BJJ.

If it's ACTUALLY 1v1 then of course strike a bit and go for a good takedown into sidemount and reign down elbows while they are pinned and helpless....it works especially well on TKD guys who think that finess and nice kicks is all they need to win, WHICH could work sometimes. But 9 out of 10 i'd win it.

Uhm I've done some MMA matches with TKD guys and the thing i found most fun was closing the distance and taking them down, and just pin them using minimal strength and wait for them to get exhausted trying to get out AND maybe they might reverse the position and then i'd slip in a triangle and roll them and pick my punches from there while choking them....

yeah.....the TKD club here thinks they are like GODS when it comes to fighting.....

What does wearing speedos have to do with anything? LOL sorry but that was just hilarious.

I couldn't really think of a third thing and a lot of body builders actually do wear speedos... so yeah XD.

See? This thread is different from that "Martial Arts" thread. In that thread, it's just state what we take, while in this thread, it's how we fight. O_o.

You fail at trying to fail something. Common sense says: it was wrong a wrong time to put up that pic.

Well, I personally use my own style, having trained in 4 different martial arts, (taekwondo, karate, aikido, muay thai), i have to rely on my unpredictabality and speed in the streets, which is really effective... though I agree with the getting hurt part, ( i have marks to prove it) I say it depends on the martial artist...

I love fighting those mma guys, they underestimate the traditional martial artists, LOL... I fought one even though he can grapple the fool doesnt know where to hit(i.e the pressure points).... so in the end, i got tackled, beaten up, and bruised all over and he ended up with a cracked upper lip and a broken nose...

But aren't YOU a MMA fighter? O.o

Obviously if you didn't care then you wouldn't put up the effort of putting up that stupid sign in the first place, which, i'm glad anyways if you don't. My excuse for quoting is: boredom.

There's a similar thread like this created by Typical_Friend, so I'm not sure if this one can stay unlocked or not.

So how do you fight? Coming from my own experience, no matter how sharp your reflexes are, how strong your muscles are, how fast your body is, or how godly your skills are at fighting, getting injured is inevitable. There is no such thing as a fight without getting harmed.

Do you have your own style? (Ex: Street-fighting)
What do you specialize in?
Where or when are your skills effective at?

To answer those questions, I use both Shaolin and Praying Mantis style of Kung Fu. Shaolin gives me agility, flexibility and balance, while Praying Mantis increases my preciseness. I would usually prefer a fight not short-ranged because I lack techniques that can counter those. So when I fight, I tend not to drive into the opponent, in case of being grabbed or thrown on the ground, because once I'm on the ground, anything could happen, and I'd be technically helpless.

The opponents I would love to fight the most are body-builders. They have huge muscles, but they move like turtles. They put everything on their upper body, and nothing on their lower body, they lack so much balance it's not even funny.... >_>. The ones I would hate to fight are wrestlers or Muay Thai fighters... Like I've said before, I hate short ranged, and wrestlers... you know, wrestle. And I hate it when Muay Thai fighters try to hit with their elbows and knees. They're pretty scary and a perfect style to train buffed people because it doesn't require much flexibility.

One on One fights only. I hope this thread doesn't get locked. =P

I win against you.
