What was the first Leiji work you ever saw .
Mine would have to be Space Battleship Yamato or Star Blazers here in the U.S.
That show would become the standard for all animated shows for me.

Yea and I bet that without Yamato, there wouldn't be Gundam or Macross.

My first is Galaxy Express 999. Way back in Kindergarten. It was in Korean dub. I wish I knew what happened to the video tapes I used to own.

I actually hadn't heard of any of it until my college anime club watched some of Captain Herlock: The Endless Odyssey a few months ago, but after that I was hooked.

Since then, I've seen My Youth in Arcadia and some of the Galaxy Express 999 series, but I can barely find anything else.

The first Matsumoto work I was the Galaxy Express 999 movie. I saw it on the Sci-Fi Channel ages ago whenever they used to have their Saturday Anime block.
