It's not scary at all when you're in that foggy world. It only gets freaky when you're in the otherworld. I hate the creepy music they put in when you're in the otherworld.

Best survial horror game w/out a doubt. I remember my friend got high while playing Silent Hill 4 The Room, Hahaha i remember his facial expression; scared as hell, trippin, laughin outta no way.... good times.

I finished Silent Hill 1 and 2, the first part had a clearer plot than the second one. I can't judge on the rest because I haven't finished playing them.
Playing through the first opening parts of Shattered Memories made me felt a mixed emotion of sadness and a creepy feeling:
That video where you can see Cheryl as a little girl happy together with his dad. The videotape being replayed over and over again until we see Dr. Kaufmann in his clinic and a sad background music.
No horror movie made feel me that sad and at the same time terrified.

The music helped set the mood for the Silent Hill series. I still get chills playing it.
You know you've been playing Silent Hill to long when you hear an air raid siren and get chills.

Has anyone else gotten Downpour or the HD Collection now that they're finally out? What do you think of them? I'm pissed that both have a lot of tech problems, especially the HD Collection. But the games are still fun and creepy as hell.
