um i hate to say this but do you know the english voice actress of Sakura from Naruto? Well she's going to play C.C. in the dub! I don't know about you but i really like C.C. and she's suppose to be myterious and mature and her voice in the japanese is so pretty! But now that i know the person who dub sakura is going to be C.C. i can't help but feel so sad and think it's might be a failure becuase i've heard her voice and to be honest i think it is really bad (no offense to sakura fans and naruto dub lovers) and what else is that the japanese dicertor had help pick out the cast

Actually it's quite fitting, considering that Lelouch is actually a good natured character (who is easily likable) trying to be a villain, and Johnny Yong Bosch does a tremendous job in doing characters who are good natured (and easily likable. Why else would he do all those terrible things just to build a new world for his sister. Although anger and vengeance be his primary motivation, Lelouch's ultimate goal is to build that ideal world. Thusly through his actions we see the good inside Lelouch.
Also please note that Jun Fukuyama tends to play these kinds of roles as well, actually that is the sole reason why the director (in Japan) chose him to be Lelouch's Seiyuu.

Here's a quote from another person's analysis on Lelouch's character.

This is reflected in their voice actors. Sakurai Takahiro (Suzu) and Fukuyama Jun (Lulu) were originally thought by the other voice actors to have opposite roles (switched) because Sakurai was used to darker characters (i.e. Kanda from D. Gray-Man and Cloud from FFVII) and Fukuyama was used to 'lighter' characters (i.e. Albert from Gankutsuou and Kazuki from Busou Renkin). The director's choice of voice actors was to emphasize the fact that they were people acting really hard to be characters who they usually weren't.

How very interesting! When I first saw Johnny casted as Lelouch and Yuri casted as Suzaku my first reaction was "wow, I think they got the roles reversed..." After reading what you had to say, I'm thinking maybe they put a bit more thought into the voice actors than I realized.

Johnny did do a pretty nice "Hollow Ichigo," so I'm looking forward to see what he can do as Lelouch. Yuri I'm sure will be a fine Suzaku.

Well, the voices aren't TERRIBLE per se (except young Lelouch, but forget that, since he hardly appears) but C.C. just doesn't feel the same.

Yeah CC seems to have lost this demanding sexiness in her voice.

Well, it could be worse. I still haven't heard what they decided to do with Excellen in the SRWOG: Divine Wars dub yet.

Also Kallen (or Karen, whatever you fansub group did it) lost some of her sexiness in her voice as well.

Hmm... I'm a bit skeptical about the casting of Johnny Yong Bosch as Lelouch. I like his voice a majority of the time, but he might not have the "coolness" I would expect from Lelouch. But he is the same guy who did Ichigo, Vash the Stampede, and Renton, so I'm not going to count him out... yet. By the way, all you japanophile dub-bashers: shut up. No one cares how lame you think English is.

I think Celiss from GameFAQs used this analogy about the means justify the ends thing:

There are two injured people close to death on the side of the road.

Lelouch would chose the one with the greater chance of survival after taking into account of his own physical strength and how long it would take him to drag a person to the hospital. The other one would die but at least one would live. Ends justify the means

Suzaku would try to take both along with him and both of them will die in the process. But because he at least tried to save both, it would be okay. Means justify the ends

wtf is wrong u its going to sux no matter who it is and to make it worse ADULT SWIM.....
