Who gives a crap. If you don't like the dub (after TRYING IT) you can still usually watch the subbed on the same DVD. So, I really don't find myself giving a flipping rats bottom about whether its licensed or not. Thats not to mention you'll still be able to find the sub on some of the most prominent bittorrent and download sites or look to other streaming sites to get it.

Actually it's quite fitting, considering that Lelouch is actually a good natured character (who is easily likable) trying to be a villain, and Johnny Yong Bosch does a tremendous job in doing characters who are good natured (and easily likable. Why else would he do all those terrible things just to build a new world for his sister. Although anger and vengeance be his primary motivation, Lelouch's ultimate goal is to build that ideal world. Thusly through his actions we see the good inside Lelouch.
Also please note that Jun Fukuyama tends to play these kinds of roles as well, actually that is the sole reason why the director (in Japan) chose him to be Lelouch's Seiyuu.

Here's a quote from another person's analysis on Lelouch's character.

This is reflected in their voice actors. Sakurai Takahiro (Suzu) and Fukuyama Jun (Lulu) were originally thought by the other voice actors to have opposite roles (switched) because Sakurai was used to darker characters (i.e. Kanda from D. Gray-Man and Cloud from FFVII) and Fukuyama was used to 'lighter' characters (i.e. Albert from Gankutsuou and Kazuki from Busou Renkin). The director's choice of voice actors was to emphasize the fact that they were people acting really hard to be characters who they usually weren't.

I think Celiss from GameFAQs used this analogy about the means justify the ends thing:

There are two injured people close to death on the side of the road.

Lelouch would chose the one with the greater chance of survival after taking into account of his own physical strength and how long it would take him to drag a person to the hospital. The other one would die but at least one would live. Ends justify the means

Suzaku would try to take both along with him and both of them will die in the process. But because he at least tried to save both, it would be okay. Means justify the ends

wtf is wrong u its going to sux no matter who it is and to make it worse ADULT SWIM.....

Now everybody this is a typical response of a weaboo.

Thank you this is going to be the smartest comment that this thread might get in a long time.

*giggles* Agreed! I love dubs for that reason too! I'd rather leave the reading to books and manga. Not have to advert my eyes while watching subs. I tend to miss too much or am forced to pause it at the most inopportune times. It can get rather annoying.

Meh, I'm just tired of their whining. They might actually have to find a new place to stream at, or heaven forbid, actually buy an anime.

The only regret I have about the way I watch anime, is that my online shenanigans have permanently sealed away the most pure way of watching anime. There are few things more amazing than watching only one episode in a week, in excellent quality. Unfortunately, I will have already watched any good anime that comes to the US, so I will never be able to truly enjoy it. Code Geass is just the sort of show I would have loved to watch in that way, but it's too late.
