Being 'overweight' isn't acurrate if you're more muscular because muscls weigh mor than fat any wways so if you're all muscles you'll weigh more, so it's not really fair to say that someone is 'overweight', as long as they're healthy there's no problem!

hm... I don't think being overweight is too bad, but being way too overweight and not really caring about your health is just crazy. I also don't like it when someone's wayyy too skinny, that's just insane!

obesity i something that most often doesn't harm any other people than the person that is obese.
Of course obesity isn't very healthy but if the person feels that he/she is happy with their obesity and knows the consequences of it, then we have no frigging right to tell what not to be and be.
If a person finds enjoyment in food let them have their fun, we really don't have anything to do with it.
But if a person doesn't like being obese then lend a helping hand.

weight only matters if you care what you look like and you want to impress others
i would hate life if i was always on a diet i would refuse to work out and just get fat and unhealthy
and that would be my choice if its good or bad i would be fine with it
i dont wanna live past 60 anyways so im sure ill live to be 100 god hates me like that
i smoke drink and eat unhealthy and im love`n it

It's not a good thing. All this junk we're putting into our bodies is disgusting and lots of it not even found in nature. This is a country where fast food reigns supreme. I suggest some people read "Fast Food Nation" and "The Omnivore's Dilemma" to get some insight (these two books changed the way I eat). And since many of us have eaten at McD's at one point or another in our lives (except for the kids with the super health conscious parents) I suggest watching "Supersize Me" and see how disgusting McD's really is.

Exception to this "overweight" label are those who are fit and muscular. But our BMI system is flawed and until we can come up with a better more accurate way to figure it out, it's how we're going to deal with our crazily fat society. (Quick! Go find a genius in the mathematics department! Maybe he/she can remedy this dilemma!)

Some of you guys seem to not have high reading comprehension skills. It is asking if it's okay to be overweight by more 80 pounds of more.
It's obviously not asking if it's okay to weigh over 80 pounds. It's asking if it's okay to be overweight by 80+ pounds.
So, if 150 pounds is normal weight for your height, it's asking if it's okay to weigh 230+ pounds at that height.
I think 80+ pounds is excessively overweight to the point of health risks; so it's not a matter of looks but more of a matter of health and physical movement.

I eat McDonald's as well as other fast food. (not regularly) And I feel fine. It's not really a healthy option but the bad part is if it's eaten in excess and if you never maintain physical activity.

Ditto, I eat fast food on occasion and simply do a harder work-out for the day. I've never listened to those stupid documentaries because all you need to do is burn that fat. I don't think everyone should have to be healthy, but I prefer it that way because you feel better about everything and have more doors open to you. Of course I also find healthy people easier on the eyes(so what if I'm shameless!?).
