I've been stared at plenty of times, usually because of the things I do (they aren't bad things, just crazy things). And now because of my recent hairstyle, everyone stares at me. Heck, everyone stares at my shirt which says "Drifting: My Anti-Drug" like those commercials they had a long long time ago.

Staring is what I usually have to face, especially when playing piano so I'm used to it. It does make me uneasy when someone is staring at me while I'm alone because I don't know what they want with me. Actually, I sense a presence easier when someone stares. If they were to just go in the room and stare at something else, I wouldn't notice.

People stare because it could be part of their thought process (like mine). Or they could stare because they couldn't believe what has happened and their mind races to a million questions with a universal amount of answers. Some stare because they are curious of what they see and want a better look. Or staring brings up more focus (at an object, not at someone). Some people just stare to irritate others because they love it when they find out that someone says "leave me alone" and they don't want to so they keep staring. No physical harm done, just a lot of unnerving moments. There's also a stupid stare which some use to make others laugh (I've done it myself) or staring contests which is... self explanatory.

I stare because it helps me focus, or because I try to find the details in things that I stare at. Usually, I just daydream so I look like I stare.

Every stranger you see walk by has their own lives. They go home to a house that is a home to them. They see friends and enemies day by day. They have their struggles, but also their good days. You ever think we're not staring because we find you weird, but because we're attracted to the fact that you're somebody we don't know. We're all just searching for an escape from our lives that have been focused on ourselves, and the people that know us. We all stay to ourselves, but staring at someone else is a way of escape, because that person has nothing to do with you. They don't know you, they've never met you. So smile when you stare at someone, it may lift them up, make them happier. When you're going through your day your thoughts just clutter, and build up. To see someone who has no idea who you are smile at you, it gives you a break from yourself because your focusing on someone else who is happy. It's a nice feeling, the declutteration. ^-^

That's the way I look at it.

Well, as most of you know (or should know), I'm an albino ( basically a form of mutant) born of a black family, meaning, my skin compexion and hair or very white and fair. Earlier on in the week, I went to a water park with my family to celebrate my younger sister's birthday

Normally, I would keep on a T-shirt, to help protect my delicate skin, but there were times I had to lose the shirt, in those events I couldn't help but notice the mass amount of looks I was getting, and I quickly realized I was the whitest person around, the obese, the obvious gays, even "the pasty brigade", nerds who barely see sunlight, all of these people had at least stolen a glance at me (especially while with my family), there were even a number of rude comments.

Of course, I'm rather used to this since it's gone on literally since the day I was born, my question is.......

Have you ever been stared at?
What or your thoughts on staring?
Why do you think people stare?
Tell why YOU would stare?

u guys look cool tbh, i dont usually stare at people unless they stare at me then i give them a glance back. This in general is mostly done by girls.

Im a people watcher. I like watching people I like seeing the fact that we are different but yet we have the same emotions and go through the same things in life but at different times, sometimes I end up staring but theres nothing negitive behind my stare. So what if people stare thats there issue not yours, your problem comes in to play because you already believe theres something wrong with you, but really if you have confidence than people like that won't have any affect on you. So be comfotable in your own skin.

yes I have been stared at..
A thing I truly hate is when ure on a bus and the person sitting in front of u turn her/his head and stare, or even worse in a resturant.. failure in upbringing or something??

Sometimes i stare without noticing, like spaced out...
But yeah I admit.. styles of clothing, obesity and stuff!!
Yeah I do feel like a monster posting this but its true!!

I try not to stare at others unless it's a little kid who's staring at me first. Cause then I can usually scare the shit out of them. XD

Once I injured my foot and we went to vacation in Florida. In one of the parks, we had to rent a wheelchair because I couldn't walk. People were starting at me weirdly, a lot. It was uncomfortable.
But i get stared on a lot, lol, I have *ahem* nice curves. If only men wouldn't be so obvious.
