i'm working on the concept, the story, the characters, the map, everything. right now i'm still working on the script. i think i'd arrive into a complex and serious story and i'm thinking what style i'd use in making the manga. i'm having a problem with costumes though, i'm not a designer haha! anyway, the characters are all planned. all i need is to make their illustrations. kinda hard coz i couldn't think of any outfit that would give emphasis to their personalities and images phew.... well, if ever i could not make it into a manga, i'll try very hard to make it real into hollywood movies, or if not, perhaps a 3D movie will do hehe big dream huh? well aim high everyone!

Same here, except I'm having trouble drawing the characters. I've visualized how they should look, but it never comes out on paper. It might be a little too intense for kids though.

you're very right about that...
one more problem of mine about making a manga... i'm having a difficult in drawing different postures. what i do is to take a shot of a certain position and draw it on the paper. but i'f i'll use that technique in manga, it'll take me a very long time before i can draw one chapter! haha! and another thing... i don't know any materials used in manga. like the kind of pen, and the paper, i want to apply colors too but i don't know what coloring materials to use...

actually, a couple of years ago (i think) i had thought of an anime story and i was able to draw the characters. the story revolves about the villains, in short, they're the villains but they're the main characters here. they're role is that they're being hired by different highers ups to kill certain higher ups. hehehe don't know if there's already an anime with the same concept... hope not.

I don't think you need to worry about what materials you need to use useless you want something that contributes to the tone you want to invoke. Personally, I would prefer the mixture that suits my own individual needs. I believe that you should flesh out the story and the characters before worrying about how they will look on paper.

yep, of course before i arrive to what my characters would look like, the story is almost done as well as the characters, their roles and personalities. of course, you cannot visualize a character on the paper if you don't have a basis of the kind of image they will project on the story. hehe... but thanks! about the materials... well certain materials suit well for certain projects and some don't, that's what i just meant by that. certainly in making mangas, there are certain materials for it which i'd like to know. i think they use this kind of big white paper where they each pages of their manga. and i'd like to know what kind of pen they use, certainly it's not an ordinary sign pen...

I ain't gonna make one. If I did, it has to be based on a work that I made (I haven't made any yet), and I have to participate either as the producer or even the director.

My plans are:
1st story: A soldier who, by unnatural and phenomenal coincidence, ascends to a state of being higher than that of a human due to the intervention of one such higher being. This will be the climax point; buildup comprises mostly of epic space, land, and air battles wherein a human space empire faces off against a race of alien artificers.

2nd story: Nearly a millennium later, the said soldier is still in service. This story now revolves around two opposing characters, the soldier from the Empire (who will now take the role of the antagonist) and a young woman serving in the navy of a distant human republic. It would show how both sides intend to end a long interracial conflict.

Even if we make one it'll not be an anime because we're not in Japan,we're not Japanese anime is a show that was make by Japanese people so that won't work

actually it can be a anime if you go through tha rite people cause remember first you gotta make a manga before an anime
and after you sell enough unit you can present your manga to an anime making company in japan. some of the anime that
came out were written some americans.

Well, once you get past the elementary stages of drawing out your characters, you can use art design programs on the computers. I think this is how they are able to churn out manga chapters every week on time.

For drawing, I would suggest using a set of Staedtler pigment liners (black) on tracing paper. Each pen has a particular line-width ranging from 0.05 mm to 0.8mm. The set I currently use is a four-pen with 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5. Personally, I love them.

To be a manga artist/animator is my dream. I really really want to make a manga/anime someday that people will like. i grew up watching animes and got inspired to become an animator myself by Hayao Miyazaki, Akira Toriyama, and Masashi Kishimoto and all the other manga/animators out there. However, im working very hard right now to improve my drawing skills and my imagination!

I have been thinking of the mangas i would make in the future and to be honest, coming up with a good story is tough! I sometimes hear that even manga artists like Akira Toriyama and Masahi Kishimoto has a lot of hard time making mangas because it takes up too much time since they have to make a whole chapter in less than a week!
But, im not gonna let that give up on my dreams. I will keep on working and trying hard until one day i can make a manga or anime for everyone to fall in love with.
