The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Posted 12/4/06
i know this forum may already be up, but i couldnt find it (and i went far back) so wat's every1's opinion on this game (360 or PS3 or PC ) i think its the most awesomist game iv'e seen to date, as a matter of fact when i started the game, and looked at the jail cell, my eyes hurt because im used to morrowind graphics
besides the gameplay rocks, the AI fighting is more advanced, and after all, let's just say best RPG of all time

I really really tried to get into Morrowind. But I just couldn't. I love the concept, but I think the game was just too much at once without any real sense of direction. If/when I get a 360 I'll probably pick up oblivion since I've heard such good things about it, but if I'm going to invest that much time in a western rpg, it might as well be an MMO in my oppinion.

MushroomJay:Dagger Fall omg Dagger Fall! i loved that game so much trully a classic in the Elder Scroll series
azrael910: Morrowind has a big hill, (example) a very large one, to get into that is, but once you get over that hill (pretty much when u find the "special tricks") you learn to love it, as a matter of fact i feel like playing it right now

PC version is the best due to the hundreds of different mods you can get for it, I do pity the console players and the bog standard game they are stuck with.

Game itself is ok though the way the game handles enemy levels is rather crap, thankfully several mods on the PC soon sort that problem out.

The good thing about oblivion is that it has so much to offer. It makes it better than any MMO because it doesnt have to limit choices, balance classes, or create a grind situation so ppl dont get powered too easily.
In oblivion you can do whatever you want, be whatever you want, and the part i like, steal from and kill whoever you want. Also you dont have to put up with annoying players.

I love my warrior/mage
