I personally feel it's much better then Morrowind, much better direction as well as the creature leveling up with you, so no odds of wandering into a high level place and getting destroyed(happen to me way to often to me in Morrowind), plus alot to do, tons of quests and sidequests.

It can get old, which is why I try to take in small doses, though I've done all I care to do for now

The one thing that really makes Morrowind and Oblivion worthwhile is the insane amount of mods that are continuously being pumped. Literally, the game has infinite replayability, because anything can be added.

I only mention Morrowind and Oblivion because I have never played Arena or Daggerfall, so I know little to nothing about them.

I'm a huge fan of the whole "Do what you want, when you want" concept these games follow. My only real complaint about Oblivion is the boundaries. While it would be stupid to expect Bethesda to include content in all of the surrounding terretories, I would have absolutely LOVED to visit Morrowind again, and view it through a different perspective. Seeing a Silt Strider with the new graphics engine...would have been amazing, at least for me.

Then again, even something like that can be added with the Construction Set. Heck, there may already be a mod like that already. Needless to say, the game will keep me occupied until the next TES game is released.

Oblivions not bad, ive got it on pc myself and love the mods. Mystic Elf Race is by far my favorite. But i dont like Oblivion as much as i did morrowind. The intro to Oblivion felt really really straightforward, whereas Morrowinds is really open. Pick your race, name, class and sign and it throws you out into the world of Vvardenfel, letting you do what you want right from the get go. Oblivions makes it feel like just a regular old RPG, with nothing that stands out too much till you get out of the sewers, and even then, it still doesnt have the same effect on me as morrowind did.

I love Oblivion so much. I was obsessed with it for two months straight. It was always the first thing I'd play when I got home from school, and I'd often play it all day. I did just about all the quests, but I think I missed a few random ones.

i know this forum may already be up, but i couldnt find it (and i went far back) so wat's every1's opinion on this game (360 or PS3 or PC ) i think its the most awesomist game iv'e seen to date, as a matter of fact when i started the game, and looked at the jail cell, my eyes hurt because im used to morrowind graphics
besides the gameplay rocks, the AI fighting is more advanced, and after all, let's just say best RPG of all time :D

I'd have to agree

I think Oblivion is kinda over rated... don't get me wrong its fun and big and theres lots to do but... one word comes to mind repetative. It's just basically the same things over and over again. I haven't even touched it in like 3 months.

Oblivion has it down sides... (my opinion) like it looks stupid when fighting melee with enemy and they always hit in front of them even if you have the high ground! and if you jump the character frozes up until it tuches ground... the leveling is REALLY hard for firs timer because they don't know what to choos then they choose like athletics and acrobatics then they reach level 15 at no time but don't have any good stuff and die to some lozy lion! even if you are rogue or warrior you end up using some wand because they are IMBA! arrows do no damage but the mods can help it out... fast travel is kinda stupid because you can get to places no time! and the compas can see too far... the game needs still some fixes ect...!!!

OMG I love this game. I've invested about 282 hours of gameplay into this one. I also played Morrowind, which was equally if not better written than Oblivion. I can't wait until Shivering Isles, the new expansion supposed to be released in April of 2007.
