And here I was, not really expecting any sort of reply to my post. So thank you.

Things have gotten a lot better between him and me since I last posted that. And I do realize the effects that grief can have on an individual and people around him/her—though it's difficult to keep things like that in mind when you've just lost your mother.

You're welcome, it wasn't anything at all really.

I'm glad to hear that things are at least getting better for you, funny how life has a way of moving on even when you're faced with personal hardships and dark times.

I wish I could relate to what you're going through and give you more relevant advice, but frankly I can't. I haven't lost my mother yet, and she and I aren't particularly close either.

Uhm..if anyone doesn’t mind helping me.. my essay admissions topic for college is the following: ”Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.”

However, what kind of event/experience is appropriate? For instance, can it be about a loved one passing away, unrequited love, overcoming a fear/challenge, a person changing you..etc?

Wonder if anybody's actually going to respond... (it'd be nice, this has been making me really anxious for a while now)

So I've recently changed meds for ADD, and when the old ones were working, I could easily start and finish the anime I was watching from each ep's start to finish, and from 1-4 eps in a row depending on my mood. On the new meds, I don't know if I'm just getting used to them or what, but I can't watch 1-2 episodes without eventually severing my focus entirely; usually backing up the episode I was watching to hours after I started watching it.
So my question is:

Does anybody have any recommendations on how to make watching anime more immersive? Or some ways to stay concentrated for at least a whole episode before I do something completely different?

I currently watch most of my anime on my iMac (27"), and I use Bose QC15 (which covers the audio immersion IMO). I'm thinking of ordering a wall mount for my iMac and clearing off my desk so there isn't anything on it that might randomly steal my attention out of nowhere when I'm watching stuff. That said, does anybody have any suggestions? Or maybe in the end it's just because I have ADD. Thanks.

Edit: Forgive me if this is the wrong help thread >_>

Your already using awesome headphones (nice choice btw,) and moving pictures are pretty engaging...have you tried watching something else? If another anime holds your attention past ep1-4 you know for sure the first one just didn't interest you. This happens to me a lot, especially as I get older and my taste refines (and my spare time dwindles.) It could be nothing to do with your ADD or change in meds, coincidences do happen, so try not worry too much about that.

However, if through experiements (TO THE LABORATORY! ) you do find this to be the fault of your change in meds, what is there to be anxious about? Take life at your own pace bro! It's the only way to be happy!

Oh, this is definitly the right place. ;)

Why was he staring at me?

Ok, so I have a crush and I'm like 100% sure he knows I like him. Anyways, yesterday at my college while I was walking I looked back to catch my crush staring at me. We looked at each other for like 4 second until I looked away. Then I looked back again and still found him staring. He was staring from a tight spot where you could ONLY have position yourself to look my direction. He had his head tilted and I was the only girl there. No lie, it felt as if we were in airport and I was his girl leaving t another country forever and that stare was like "He doesn't want to let me go"more of a distracted look. He had like a normal facial expression on.

Don't ask us. Ask him that. :)

It'll net you the most accurate answer.

The guy should be man enough to start talking to you. Then again, some women can give off "Man-Eater" vibes that could scare guys off. Just give him a little nudge of interest like saying hi or something simple. If he doesn't make a move after you give an obvious motive of interest, then he's really not man enough. Especially for college.

However, women should every now and then start the art of flirting. That is rather attractive to some guys. You never know, it could be that he may prefer a submissive role in a relationship while the women plays the dom.

Aside from that, What Winterfells said, ask him. Nobody can give you the true answer, only him.

Colored perception. I'm in no position to judge, but I can tell you that I'm highly skeptical of your account simply because I haven't heard what the guy has to say.

So there's your answer. Talk to him, or at least ask him why he was staring at you - if in fact he was. For all we know, there was a poster of Jessica Alba pinned up behind you - hey, it happens. Better to hear the truth than to live on pure assumption. Heck, it shouldn't be all that hard for you if you're 100% sure he likes you, right? I mean, what have you got to lose, then?

Was he looking for my attention?

So I have a crush on a guy and I'm 100% sure he knows I like him. Once he had stared at me for like 4 sec until I looked away and when I looked back he was still staring. Then I had this time I walked right pass him and like 30 sec later of walking pass him I see that he looked back at me. He has been smiling and walking like a bad a** recently when I appear around him. But yesterday I was about to head down these escalator but then I stopped because I wanted to change the music that was playing on my iTouch. Then all of sudden eh appears out of no where and just bust in there and head down the escalator just when I was getting ready to head down the escalator. he starts heading down the steps and he stood mid-way and just stood standing there just letting the escalator take him down the 3rd floor. I saw him flinch like wanting to look back, and I felt he wanted my attention and to say something

I'm sorry in advance if some of you will get offended with my problem

but I just turned 20 and I feel so depressed about it, I don't know but maybe because I haven't achieve/proven anything. At my turning age to face society of the grown ups I'm pressured of the aged because I feel like I need to act mature and a grown up woman, like in the internet I feel like I have to be mature with my comments, opinions and also encountered several times to be corrected with my grammar/spelling with the grammar nazis, pinpointing my age for a reason v_v.

*sigh* wishing that my birthday is months months away with my actual birthday. :/

I know how you feel it sucks to grow up! I cant give you any life changing advice since I am going through the same thing you are but if it makes you feel any better I suck with spelling and grammer also. The only advice I can give ( though its not the best ) is too just be yourself.

I'm not expecting you to take advice from someone younger than yourself, but everyone matures differently. We've all had different upbringings, and we've all got our own little idiosyncrasies, but what's important is to know when you're supposed to act serious, and when you can have fun and be yourself. It's not harmful to act a bit immaturely when chatting with friends on the internet, but what you'll eventually learn is that there are times when you have to balance with being serious and focused on the task at hand. It's nothing to panic about, and you'll eventually learn it, just be patient. As for achievements, and proof, what's important is that you put as much effort as you can into things. That's all that people can ask of you.

Regardless with your age your advice is pretty accurate, you are right I'll just need to learn how to put my actions in places but knowing my character looks like I need a lot of practice to do, and maybe I am just a little bit impatient for achievements because I'm afraid of being left behind by friends.

Thanks for the advice it made me realize that I have no other option but to embrace and move on with life.
