I never thought I'll see myself posting my problems here

A series of events, a few hours ago, has led me to feel unsafe going out. (man follow me home and did some forceful things blah blah blah). I told my friend right after it happened. During the conversation, she suggest we should go out...now. Like now, NOW. Mind you, this happened today at night, and a few hours has passed after the incident when she offered to hang out. I said it wasn't the best idea to go out right after something so big happened. She offered to pick me up with her other girl friend. I said no, again. She went on the offense.

I wasn't going to say yes, and I don't see any other proper way to decline other than what I did

What do I tell her when I do talk to her?

Tell her the truth.

I specifically post this here to avoid getting advice form you.

Is that right? Go do what you feel is best. Lying gets no where. It will only make it worse. Trust me, I know. I used to be a big liar, and maintaining a giant lie is the hardest thing to do.

Ugh sorry again for being a total bitch *hits myself*. I feel like lying gets me no where, your right. But telling to turth gets me moving to all the wrong places because my friend doesn't like to be confronted, and honestly I don't think she wants to hear what have to say. For me, telling her the trust is probably the hardest to do because that's when things really blow up. Our biggest fights come from me saying all the things I wanted to say. Nothing ever result from it, except she tells me off, I tell her off, both of us telling each other off and on facebook she write indirect stabs at *some specific*.. I feel like whats maintaining our friendship now is me holding back all the things I want to say, and because of that I feel like she take advantage of it. Since I've been doing that since the middle of high school, I feel like she thinks it is okay because it's somehow "a default".

Hi FlyinDumpling,

That doesn't sound like a healthy friendship, indeed it sounds like you guys are a time-bomb. You say she doesn't like to be confronted, but she is confronting you with her inconsideration. Moreover sometimes life is confronting, it just is; If she's not willing to listen to the truth — which I think is ample justification for you saying what you did — then it's likely she is shallow or obnoxious to some extent. Perhaps you should be asking yourself how worthwhile this friendship you're doing all the work to preserve is.

It's easy to say online, "Your friend is lousy, ditch her", but you don't seem like the blunt and aggressive type (At first glance). How about a few subtle pushes to your friendship? You could just ignore her a bit, and see how she reacts. You could try and talk to her about something you wish she knew about you but are afraid of how she might react to, and see how she takes it. All the while judging how much she seems to value you as a friend. When it comes down to it, if you're the only one trying then you will be better to move on and find yourself some real friends. It can be a bitter truth.

Good luck with it, and watch out for the creep.

So, I'd like advice.

There was this classmate I was on good terms with; we were in a few of the same types of classes. Then she moved back to Taiwan, and will probably never come back, at least for a while. I haven't kept in touch with her since, so it's unlikely I'll ever see her again.

BUT before she left, she bequeathed a certain chemistry textbook to me, because she heard I was a chemistry major. It was old (20 years), so I didn't think it was worth anything. I never ended up taking the class it was for, so it's been gathering dust in my house. With my last school quarter coming up before graduation this spring, I need to get a bit cash, so I've been looking to see how much some old textbooks are worth. It turns out this one is worth quite a heap of money, even though it's so old. So my first thought was to sell it, but now I feel a little guilty, since it was a gift.

TL;DR
Is it tacky to sell a valuable textbook that was handed down to me?

I want to say yes, but I'd like someone to affirm me...

Can anyone tell me what is the name of the anime where there is a priest who brake a seal on a demon, when the demon is released he has no memory before he was sealed. After the young priest released him the demon helped him slay other demons. Please help. If this is not the correct thread to be in, I apologize.
