WONDER - A Film by Mirai Mizue Kickstarter Campaign ends April 30th at 6pm EDT!
RIYL: Abstract/experimental film, DIY art, psychedelia

If you haven't heard of Mirai Mizue, he's an amazingly talented, award-winning abstract filmmaker from Japan. WONDER is his latest project, and it is an undertaking unlike anything I've personally seen before. The idea behind this impressive project was to create 24 frames (or one second) of animation per day for 365 consecutive days. Each frame represents a unique hand-drawn image, and each of these hand-drawn images is used only once for the entire duration of the film. Whereas his previous works were drawn single handedly by Mizue himself, WONDER received funding from the Agency of Cultural Affairs in Japan and was able to utilize a staff of artists to help with the project. Unfortunately, the grant wasn't enough to cover all the costs of production, so this is where the Kickstarter comes in! With less than 24 hours left, the campaign must raise at least another $2,976 in order to be funded.

I am in no way affiliated with Mizue or WONDER, but I feel strongly about this work and want do what I can to help make it a reality. As we all know too well, modern anime can easily be overflooded with soulless moe titles that are nothing more than money-making schemes--but true art still exists within the medium! I urge you all to at least check out the Kickstarter page for more information.

Given the nature of this thread, I won't post any links here. Just Google "Wonder Kickstarter" to find the page.

Does anyone know how to fix this gif image?

As you can see, you can see some sort of white
spot / background in the image as it plays.

This seems to be a problem when uploading gifs here.
How do I fix it?

chrome_mist, this is a known problem with cr. You can either 'convert'the image, or just delete the chopped layer. But, sometimes deleting a few extra layers help too. Either or...here you go

How the f*ck did you do that?
Could you tell me in detail please? I am totally clueless.

I got mine working by using a software, but you did it so easily.
HOW?

chrome_mist, all I did was delete frame 12, the chopped layer in short. Then posted it again on the forums.

So it wouldn't work on long-ass gifs?
Well bugger.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

chrome_mist, it does. But, that requires alot of use of solid colors, deleting chopped layers and replacing them, and ect. Most of the issues are about having more than one color on a gif, forums picking a random layer to 'modify' or screw around with. And ect. But, either or...glad to help

Not sure what I am seeking advice on,
I find myself feeling a little empty these days. I'm not working towards anything. Only thing I'm managing to do right is paying my college debt off. How am I supposed to become passionate over something when I have no idea what it is? I think I know the answer. It scares me though. I left college, I'm a drop out. For the very reason to think about all this. College scares me. I didn't think it was for me. One day I want to be something, then the next it changes. How can I find a path worth taking when my mind keeps being so damn indecisive?

Having dropped out of college myself and now working a very simple job in retail, I'm very much in the same situation. After two years of going to a university in my hometown, no less, I got to the point where I absolutely hated going. I couldn't make myself go to class. I couldn't make myself do any of the assignments. My dad then passed away and I guess that gave me the opportunity to finally just abandon school. So I did. Sure, I personally feel pretty empty at times. Yet, I don't think there's anything wrong or reprehensible about that. I acknowledge that I'm not working towards anything grand or really anything at all. I'm lazy and anti-social to be honest and I think other people probably find that disappointing. Anyway, I'm about as temperamental as they come but the one thing I have learned is that you make your own happiness. You, to the best of your ability, objectively look at your own situation and decide what you can and can't do. Realize what to be content with and what to improve. When to be grateful and when to ask for more. If that's too much and you can't find some long-term goal to work towards then take it day by day, much as I have done and still do.

Helpful? I don't know, but it's my perspective on your predicament.

It's a big scary world out there, and it just keeps getting scarier. Man, seriously. While some people find what they're passionate for when they're young, and I'm here rocking back and forth in my room hitting my head against the wall because I have nothing.

Shit, I know. The world keeps getting worse and worse and that's not even considering how useless I am. Though there are still things that bring me happiness. Even if it's stuff no one else can relate to sometimes.

The gold crown means the episode is only available to Premium (paying) members.

So for example, Attack on Titan... I, a non-paying member, can watch Episode 5, but not Episode 6 (gold crown) until next week. There's a week delay for non-paying members with simulcasts. Also, sometimes when CR adds a series to their "catalog", usually an older series, many of the episodes are only available to paying, Premium members.

It's one of the perks you have for being a Premium member. Hope that helps. Cheers.
