Whatever, I have something. I'm 5'0 and 75 lbs, I want to gain weight but it's impossible, I eat around 4 meals a day with 3-5 snacks, I have around 2400-3200 calories a day and I try to have one day of eating 8000 caloriesa week. I've tried weight gain shakes, excercising, not excercising, eating to the extent of feeling sick, not eating to slow down my metabolism and all sorts of BLAHS. People still look at me like I never eat or if I'm a bulimic or something, I'm pretty sick with my body too, I'm an arts student so it's not like I even have to maintain my weight for any reason, I'm always munching away when I'm doing my art projects and recently eating is just wearing me out, I feel so bored and sick trying to gain weight. Should I just give up? I'm scared I'll be so bored of food I'll stop eating and develop anorexia. My body is somewhat similar to Nicole Richie's lowest weight. Thanks

Hey, I think you should go see a nutritionist.

Honestly I'm jealous.

But I think you should stop trying to eat so much. It's not healthy to eat like that. See a nutritionist, maybe they can help. If not you're going to have to hope time will help. You can't keep eating like that you're going to ruin your skin and organs.

I'm still considered as an international student in the US and it is very expensive to go to college...
should I...
- go to college this year and pay a whole lot of money
- or wait one year but perhaps it might not be helpful for my college admission

Go to College. Do not take any time off from college. Struggle now, but it'll pay off in the future. Hopefully next year you won't have this problem anymore.

I did already make a thread for personal help and issues discussion.

My problem: I'm horrible at drawing, and I need to improve! I mean....look!

Pretty bad, no? How could I improve? I've been practicing for over a year with no improvement.

I'm late but, draw people, from real life. Stop trying to do anime.

Whoa, I had forgotten I posted that, haha. But you're right, I started drawing more from life and I've improved quite a bit so far!

try learning proportions first. pick up a good art book (like 'How to Draw the Marvel Way' by Stan Lee to draw superheroes or polykarbon.com for manga style art.) and practice drawing to proportion before attempting anything else...

Well, I realize first I need to learn to draw from life, and get proportion down. I have to ask, is it alright to be only drawing from photos? I feel as though I'm doing something wrong that way. I probably won't get proportion right if I only draw from photos.

So, what are some good ways to get used to drawing without having to draw exactly what you see all the time?
Like...Sketching some guy you never saw before just from a description. That sort of thing.

And what would help practice proportions with realism? Any good sites?

I have an account on DA, haha. I don't get much feedback there though, people seem to be attracted more to already-talented artists rather than sparing some time to give some tips to a beginner.

try checking out other people's account's then You should check out lastscionz... he updates everyday, and some of his old works were done using only the mouse, and it's pretty amazing.
What's your DA btw? I'll add you to my watch list

Haha, I hate my account name now, it irritates me. They need to make it so you can move all of your work to a new account without having to upload everything individually.

Here it is anyway: http://shinn-san.deviantart.com/

I have mostly photography on there right now, as you'll see. It's been awhile since I sketched anything.
