fuck it dude, I live alone too. I study in T.O and my fam is in NYC, in fact I'm currently visiting them right now. If i had the luxury of living with my family, I would. I say swallow your pride and chill out with your parents, that is if their the type to support you. Anyways it's not like we're 30 or something, we're in our 20's so we shouldn't be ashamed of wanting to be economically stable. Save up as much as you can cadence by staying home that way it would buy some time while your looking around for a decent place.
With utilities and everything, my rent is $1200. I wouldn't despair. |

Thanks guys. Yeah I am lucky that I even have the option to live at home. My parents don't really care how long I stay, I just want to get out of there eventually. $1200? Thats harsh. You must have a good job to be able to afford that without a roommate. Ive been banking money but it never seems to add up fast enough ya know? My fiance is still in school so we can't even have a combined income yet. I'm trying to support both of us but it's not really working out financially. It's ok though. I'm gonna get back into school next year, come out making the big bucks. lol $-$
@fishy: Yea right Lotto? I don't consider myself that lucky..although really all I would need is 1 million and I'd be good for life. Open a CD, make 50 grand a year in interest, some smart investments and I'm on vacation for the rest of my life. That would be nice. |

Sorry Fishyfish I just now saw the thread Anywho now adays it would take more than 1 mill to have no probs. Esp with today's taxes. Now 2 mill prob would be enough. My goal would be just happen to find a lotto ticket with 1 bill attached to it. But i definitely wouldn't buy it. |

I hope you know that they do take taxes out of lottery tickets! You won't get all the winnings

Also they put it on your yearly record that you are a million dollar year income and they tax you that much yearly. That is one of the reasons people go bankrupt so quickly. Corrupt Government. |

Deceptive_Cadence wrote: So I have a small problem. I need to move, but I can't find a place that's affordable by my current location. But all my family, friends, Job, etc are nearby. BTW just to give you an idea of how rediculous it is here on Long Island (NY), a single room for rent can be $650 a month, a 1 bedroom apt can go for $1100-$1300 a month. I already worka full time job making good money...it's just not good enough. Pays my other bills but I couldn't afford my car, phone, etc with Rent. Should I just say f%$k it and live at home until a miracle happens or should I pack up my shi*t a go upstate or to North Carolina or something? Just looking for some insight really. And if anyone else is from the Long Island area you'll know exactly what I mean. Thanks "A 1 bedroom apt can go for $1100-$1300 a month" isn't bad at all. Look for extra job if you can't afford that. (Silly, i know you can). I am paying more than that for my apartment. Pretty expensive yet that's what I want. I love my place so I gotta do the work... Jobs help me out with the budget. and C, maybe he's got the job too. Good for him, he can afford his living. Everything is possible if you have a good job. So, better look for one Deceptive. |

I keep myself private. LOL And I sense, you're really curious about it. Well, you can ask Basuo about it. |
