Username - How did it come about and what does it mean?

Mine originated from Diablo II when I was searching for a name for an assassin. I was young and stupid at the time and was looking at a site of deities and was looking up death deities and came across the Buddhist Amida Nyorai. I ended up liking the name and used Nyorai for the assassin and further adopting the name Amida as my online name and ending up befriending a lot of people by it. Because I was using Amida people thought I was female so I switched to WestNyorai which is a reference to Amida and wasn't as religious. However, now a days I go by Nyo to respect the culture. Which sadly is too short for most sites so I still use WestNyorai or WestNyo at times.

While I'm not religious, I ended up learning a lot about Buddhism and grew up with Amida Buddha (Amitābha) as a role model. Which shows you don't have to be a believer to be influenced by the teachings.

well for mine it was when all my old account got hacked so i needed to start anew so then my katsuachi(katsura and itach that sew together) hug pillow stated talking to me saying that it should be subject delta(from bioshock)

My roommates and I are... dudes, to say the least.
Some times one of us comes in the house and just screams "GET BUCK NAKED!"
Obviously we're stupid, so one time I yelled "GET NUCK BAKED!"
We have the skull of a buck in our living room. After these inside jokes we decided to name him Nuck da Buck.
This has been my online moniker ever since.
We also made stickers honoring Nuck da Buck. I put one on my mini cruiser board. My roommate put the other on his macbook.

My name obviously comes from the anime. I adopted the speedracer name when I graduated from the SNES to the 3DO and many of the games were PC ports and your character name was incorporated into the dialog in game. The 223 came about when I started to play BF2 on PC and I was not the first speedracer to the table.

I used to go on millsberry and I couldn't think of a username. So I decided to put my first name and mill- at the end. So it became shamaramill. And I just kept using that for everything.

I never had a very online sounding username, always more like RP names. So when my first xbox account was hacked I figured it was about time to come up with something good. So I came up with MetalyRawred. But everyone pronounced Rawred as Raw Red. So then while lurking around Gaia Online I realized my character was always adorned in Neko gear, and because cats have a natural attraction to me it just came to be.
