Well technically Russias wasnt an army... records show that it was mostly untrained people running into the open to die... France never had an army in WWII... and if they did they got walked all over by germany... Japan didnt have a really powerful army but look where they had to fight in jungle areas and stuff like that but I'm pretty sure after world war 2 the Military powers were as follows
1America 2Russia 3Brittish 4Canadian... I probably meant after world war 2 but anyways all the other countries kept updating their millitary and we didn't.

No cause Germany + Japan tried to take over the WORLD by themselves. They must have had some fat ass army. Also, Japan took over half of China.
Russian conscripts are still soldiers. However, I do get your point about the Soviet Union focusing on economical aspects instead of military.
I thought France had a big army in WW2. After all, with all the war equipment piled from WW1. Also, Germany beat France because they did a sneak attack into the capital. Otherwise, they coulda lasted much longer.
