If i would be the manager or store owner of that particular store/shop i would say that customers are always right over and over everyday..

Otherwise, If im the cashier....

They should get what they pay for... but if they are disturbing the other customers by being a little obnoxious bitch, then you have to right to refuse service.

As a customer I complain if my service was not good or an item was mark but the cashier did not give it to me. I am not looking for anything free or hand me outs but if it is wrong then I would like to say something.

I remember working in this fast food place and this lady comes in everyday and says she is tired of eating the same food. Then I suggest something she goes and says" nope I don't like that or it doesn't seem good." Then stop freaking complaining about what the hell you are eating. She always complains about how we are expensive and stuff like what the heck lady no one forces you to drive here.

They should complain only if there is something really wrong and nothing else. Geez.

Offgoddamncourse they're not.

Lemme tell you a little tip that I'm sure you'll find most interesting. I worked as many things, here's an interesting little trick I learned:
Frown.
The how may I help you sir, as you spread a fat smile up your face, doesn't work no more. People are becoming less civilized, the only way to be treated well is to scare them. You'll know you hit the spot when they start mumbling.

And that, is how I go by from job to job. I get fired because I call my bosses degrading things possibly claiming they're sexually incompitent or that they do their mothers, apparently I have a "problem with authority".
But I never get fired for customer fights, or yelled at, it all just goes too smooth.

They are right and wrong, but mostly annoying. The main reason I cannot become a saleswoman is my hot temper. I get annoyed too easily and my politeness vanishes as if it never was in me to begin with. xD

honestly, yesterday, my friend treat us in a pizza brand somewhere over da rainbow!^^
and while eating our food, one group of people went inside where we were eating....
they order a bunch of pizza.. lol~
a few minutes ago~ we all smell sumthing like "urgggg" omfg!
sumthing is over toasted, i think!
so, da customer ask the staff if the pizza is over toasted~
then, staff xplains it all and said that is normal! not toasted~
when the customers out~
staff looks like this
and says a lot of words against da customer!

I think we all agree the saying doesn't mean that customers are always literally "right," but that you should always treat them as if they are. Personally, I can't stand the philosophy, though it works like a charm. I'd much rather just tell the customer to go to hell if he/she is wrong. I don't need their business anyway. Sadly, since my life as an independent contractor has come to a screeching halt due to circumstances irrelevant to the topic, I now have a boss to please as well. I now have to suck up to customers who's business I would normally care nothing for. I miss the days where I just self-advertised my web-design stuff and decided my own wages...

I think it's really only used to keep fights from breaking out in every store across the globe.
If the policy wasn't enforced, then when an edgy employee disagreed with a customer, there'd be much more yelling and screaming than there already is.

our customers are giving us a hard time! they make us do the impossible... but because of that policy, we can't demand or ask them to settle with what we can give... so we fry our brains and come up with ideas on how we can provide them what they need.. which is mentally tiring and really stressful... but they're the customer right? they're practically giving us our monthly pay... so what can we do?!
