If it really is true love, then yes. True love can over come anything as long as both parties are committed.

I think it could work out. It only works if both individuals are willingly to make it happen. Depends on the distance too. Haha.. East/West Coasts are too farfetched.

Yeah my friend fell for a woman in America and moved there just to be with her, and he did so like at 18 without his family.

you guys should take a look at what a sucess is decribed as in this situation, you have to maintain a relationship with someone who you may or may not ever meet again or in the first place, for an infinite amount of time until, one of you two die, thats a lasting relationship, if you actually think instead of dreaming, its a very unlikely probability of sucess

personally my gf and I live about 25 miles, so it's not too far...

but in actuality our schedules make it seem like we are in a long
distance relationship. But what makes it work after 7 years?

communication and love, and most importantly understanding.
put those 3 together and you'll be fine as long as you genuinely
love that person.... and not farting around.

probably not, because you wouldn't see your partner and soon time would distance you ... you would soon forget them as our memories aren't photographic

I say, long distant love/relationship is very romantic. It feels like the two are tied together by a red thread of fate. I wonder if it happens in real life, I only read it in books or from movies.

I had a long distance relationship with a girl from Hong Kong. Having webcams helps (she had me on it almost every day), plus she was able to call me from her country every day (yeah she payed that much attention to me...). The relationship lasted for about 2.4 years. The first time we met in person was after 6 months, but distance made the heart grow stronger.. eventually she moved in with me so I guess it depends on much you put into the long distance part. Lack of contact on a constant basis usually means trouble though.
