I think if you guys like go on a long distance relationship, end up trusting each other so much to know that the guy in the other side of the world won't end up impregnating someone, I think you'll have a stronger relationship if you meet later on and/or don't break up later on. Ehh. My opinion.

Probably not in my case since I fail at long distance communication. I'm really not the type of person that keeps in touch and the average time I spend on a phone conversation is like 30 seconds.

unless it's true love... we've come long distance journey ever since we were born, aren't we looking for our better-halves?

(voted for 'only in some cases')

What's love, anyway? A guy might say he loves you, but what does that mean? (Sorry if I'm too cutting, but this is how I feel.) My parents got married, that was supposed to be the strongest sign of their love for each other - and then my dad had an affair that really broke up our family. How can you know that a guy loves you, especially if you don't know what love is? And even if you did know, who's to say that love goes on and off, like switch, especially if people don't have the willpower to keep loving long-distance, without any tangible reward.

Love that lasts through the tests of time and space seem to exist mostly only in romance books and soppy dramas, not in real life. Maybe there are some, though - I still hope - so I clicked on the 'only in some cases' button, and fervently hope that I can find the guy for me.

This is how I view guys . . . you never know when they'll flip their sweet 'I love you's and dump you for a bimbo. (The same probably goes for girls, just that I'd never experience it.) I have a guy friend who people say I should go out with, but he's going off to college then and I just bet he'll fall out of touch. (Not intentionally, maybe, but he'll still do it.) He says he won't.

Time will tell which of us is right.

No, it hurts too much. I don't have enough strength to go through one again.
Love conquers all? Pft, yeah, I don't know about that one.

I think love always lasts, if you have loved a person, no matter where he or she is, you will still love it. But after a long time apart the relationship you had with that person is pretty much dead and gone. So to me what lasts is the feeling that you have loved that person.

In one right now for the second time and it’s a challenge. It has been working so far. We kind of put things “on hold” so to speak. We are still together, but we have decided to leaving things as they are until we figure things out.

Yah I voted for that too, I though more people would, it seems the most indefferent in this complex problem, I also though probably not, not worth trying would be a more popular choice, I first I though sure in some cases it can, but the more I though about, I deem a long term relationship a sucess, even if you dont see each other once in you lives you have a connection that allows you to be faithful for the rest of your lives, you must stay commited to a girl you either never meet or will never meet again, and keep it up for hte rest of your lives, its a tall order indeed, its a test of distance, test of temptation and the test of time roll into one
