To continue from last month, here is yet another thread on the DVD Releases this month.
I personally am looking forward to the 3 things as usual.
I'll start from 3rd to best

3. Rumbling Hearts AKA Kimi ga Nozumo Eien vol1.
This romance is the perfect present for the otaku girlfriend. Of course, this is coming from a guy that would probably be a virgin all his life.

2.Fate/Stay night vol1.
This series is probably my fourth favorite. Not 4th best on my list, but a definite favorite. I know there are a lot of Saber fans.

1..... ITS FINALLY HERE
FLCL Complete collection by synch-point.
This Ultimate Edition includes a Collector's Box, all 6 episodes on 3 discs plus a disc full of extras, an FLCL T-Shirt Postcard (Redeemable for one t-shirt, size S-XL), a Sticker Sheet featuring all FLCL Logos (9 stickers), a Postcard Set featuring robots from FLCL (6 postcards), and the FLCL Ultimate Book featuring translation notes, English voice actor interviews and manga scenes.

Just look at that sexy box.

Actually number 1 tied with.......

HELLSING ULTIMATE DVD 1
I am not a big hellsing fan, but with this kind of pakaging, it is a great addition to your shelves.

Lots of good stuff. Damn the FLCL is tempting, I've been putting off buying it for ages. I'll probably at least go for the Hellsing since I prefer that series in english.

As much as I preach support the industry, I've been putting off buying (anime) DVDs alot recently. I quit buying/watching anime for quite a while thanks to my now beaten WoW addiction, so I've gotten back into buying manga... but DVDs I've still been holding off on. I think it's becasue it's taken a me few months to get my bearings at whats happened since I've dissapeared in Azeroth. I feel dirty leeching anime all the time. Maybe next paycheck I'll see what boxsets are around that I could/should pick up. Or better yet after finals are over -_-.

Last count, my DVD anime collection was 68 different series/movies, at just over 200 DVDs, and containing nearly a thousand episodes. So much money spent on anime...

BTW, I only know that so quick thanks to my obbsession of making overly detailed spread sheets to track crap like that.

TIPS FOR BUYING ANIME DVDs
If you buy at anyplace other than a private store, Best buy, Frys, or online, then the DVD will most likely cost about $25 and about $40-50 on a single DVD+artbox.

Cheapest store to buy at is
Best Buy.
DVDs are sold for $20
Thinpaks from ADV cost $57.99
anime legends from Bandai boxsets cost around $30-$50
You can find most boxsets at least 30% off the original price.

Cheap place with a lot of availability
Fry's Electronics
Instead of falling into their Bait and Switch tactics, buy anime there instead.
Its about $3 dollars more expensive for DVDs and $5 for boxsets which is still a lot cheaper than the original costs. Not many people buy anime there as well so you can find a lot of anime.

Good Websites to buy anime
http://www.discountanimedvd.com
It also has anime merchandise and still is about $10 cheaper for boxsets.
http://www.animecornerstore.com
Also cheap. Mostly reccomended because of being an well organized website and good shipping deals.
http://www.mediacavern.com/superanimesale.html
THERES ALWAYS A SALE

Sites to stay away from
http://www.nextdayanime.com
These are HK releases meaning they're fake.
Official sites
They are good, but they still charge you the same as hom much you would pay in a regular suncoast...+shipping and handling
ADV does have good sales occasionally.
Labor Day sale I got Box sets for $20.
