Ch.2: The show
When it started to get dark, Justin and Jess went to their rooms and dressed for the evening show. When Justin finally dressed he realized that he was late and started to run down the corridor to the audience chamber. Right as he got to the next corridor he ran right into one of the performers. “Umf. Sorry didn’t see you there for a second.” Justin said as he looked down. He realized that she was only seven years old. “Oh it’s okay. So are you going to see me in the show?” the little girl asked. “Sure. What’s you name again?” Justin asked. “It’s crystal. I’m an illusionist.” Crystal said. “Oh by the way have you seen a party of five walk by led by Mr. Frank?” Justin asked. “Yup, That-a-way.” Crystal said as she pointed down the next corridor. “Thanks I’ll see you in the show then.” Justin said as he ran down the corridor. Justin walked into the audience chamber and started looking for everyone. “Hey, over here.” A tall, black haired seventeen year old called to him. When Justin walked over he asked. “How much time do we have left?” Josh answered. “About half an hour.” So he walked over to the table where his dad (scientist for the universal government of planets), Brother Tyler (cocky attitude) and jess were sitting. He sat down between his dad and jess. His mom came minutes later and sat down next to his dad. I’m sooo bored. When does the show start?” Tyler asked. “In about half an hour.” Justin told him. Justin pulled out his data pad. (Goes online, plays games and checks gaming scores anytime) “There’s no point in checking.” Jess said. “I know because I’m always in first.” Justin replied. He looked down at the screen and said “What second! Who could have beaten my score?” He went to the game and started to play when his cousin Josh hit him and told him to put it away. Justin put it away and noticed that the music had started already and that the auditorium had filled since he came in. He looked at the curtains intently, and after about a minute they started to rise.
The first half of the show flew by as they watched dangerous stunts, amazing spectacles, and insane magic. The whole time Justin kept an eye out for crystal. After fifteen different acts an announcer came on and announced “Now ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for…CRYSTAL!” “Hey it’s-“Justin said as the lights went out. Everyone started to scream and shout. Justin immediately stood up but his dad was up before him. “Everyone head for the emergency transporters immediately!” His dad yelled to everyone.

No Return

As usual, "That weirdo" as they, the kids at school called her, ended up sitting at the corner of the canteen alone for lunch. Melodie was a regular girl back in England, but when her parenta up and moved her to Tokyo she suddenly became a "useless freak" who everyone hated. She just wanted to end it all, afterall no one would miss the likes of her.

Her first thoughts were, "Oh.... its cold up here..." but, of course, many people WOULD find standing on the ledge of of Tokyo's highest bridge cold, or at least frightening.... Melodie however, was afraid, she was welcoming her death, embracing it with open arms. She counted to three and was about to jump when... "WAIT!" She spun around just in time to see who was there and found a peculiar little boy, around her age, staring up at her. "Don't jump!" he cried, hoping to get her off the ledge. Melodie replied, "Who are you and what do you want me for?"
"I want to to show that life is worth living...." replied the boy, holding out his hand to her. She took his hand and was suddenly in a world of darkness. Where was she? Why couldnt she see anything? Where did the boy go? She felt around to see if she could se eor feel him... but he was nowhere to be found....

She stumbled around in the pitch black for what felt like forever, tears streaming down her face. All there was was darkness... emptiness, thats all. She thought she was going crazy or maybe... she though thought she might be dead, but how was that possible? She had taken the boy's hand. She knew right away that he was the answer to this, to find anything she must first find the boy. The place she was in must have run on thoughts, for as soon as said, or rather, thought those words a road appeared, At the sides of the road were looming shadows, like hands going to drag her away. Melodie was afraid, but she had nowhere else to go, the road was her only hope.

Walking along the road, memories of her dark times in Tokyo and leaving her friends in England flashed before her eyes. "Its just the dark, just the shadows.... Don't be afraid." She kept chanting this while walking up, what seemed like, the endless road. Soon after the memories she started hearing things, horrible things that Melodie knew were not true, but still, she could not stop the tears springing to her eyes and falling to the dark road below.
After a while the road started to turn and the voices faded. Melodie looked up and saw there was a door approaching. "Finally!" she thought, "The boy MUST be beyond this door!" She pressed hard against the the door and felt the huge thing move slowly back against her weight. As soon as a gap big enough for her to fit through was open Melodie gasped as she was englufed in a brilliant white light.

Once her eyes had finally adjusted to the light, Melodie realised that she was not alone. White, cloaked figures shrowded in a pale blue pr yellow light soared across the room on huge, scabbed, black wings. At first she thought they were angels but, "Why black wings..?" She muttered to herself. That was all it took to get the creatures attention. Melodie looked up and found herself being stared at by what must've been 100 faces. She instantly realised these.... things.... were not angels, quite the opposite in fact. The 'angels' had blank, white faces, like a peice of marble, with black, hollow, soulless eyes. Only one or two of them had lips, she took these as the females. The lips of these were blood-red and she didnt dare think about what the concealed. Unsure and afraid, Melodie took a step back. At once the largest of the 'angels' pointed at her and Melodie felt as though those stone eyes could see right through her.
