I've always thought the dubbed version of Excel Saga was better than the Japanese language version. Also, Ranma 1/2 is one of the best english dubbed anime I've seen.

Subs are better than dubs in most cases, however I found these to have better Dubs:
Death Note: I felt like Light's maniacal laughter was captured very well. L's voice was also done well. Overall, I prefer the English dubs in this case.
Cowboy Bebop: Steven Jay Blum was a perfect fit for Spike, imo.
other than those two, I can't think of any dubs that I preferred over dubs.

One show that is way better then the original is Nerima Daikon Brothers. Great Voice acting crew and they do a fantastic job with the dub! One of the fewshows i like in dub.

Fruits Basket, definitely.
Yuki is voiced by (obviously) a woman in the japanese version,
& the dub by funimation is voiced by a man, & it's totally fitting.

When it comes down to Death Note I still consider it the equivalent of the original. Cowboy Bebop easily trumps the original voice cast and the Fullmetal Alchemist dub does well to keep just ahead of its Japanese counterpart. Vic Mignogna was practically born to have Ed's voice and the rest of the cast fit much better. I couldn't stand Hawkeye's original voice actor, although most characters had good voices in both. The only characters whom I had a problem with in Fullmetal Alchemist and Death Note were Hawkeye, Misa, Al, and Ed.

I was reading some of the older posts and people say that hated Naruto in English because of "Believe it" yeah like saying "Dattebayo" all the time is any better. Annoying catchphrase for annoying catchphrase.

I can't think of any dubs that are better than the original japanese tracks. There are some dubs however that are decent or even maybe on par with the original, but why bother when the japanese voices are always going to be equivalent or usually much better? A few of the decent ones for me are stuff like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Witch Hunter Robin(i think, havent watched in a few years), well there are a few others that are good in places anyways.
One anime most people prefer dubbed is Dragonball Z specifically because of Gokus voice, but I got used to it and it sounds perfectly fine in the japanese DB Kai, which was apparently revoiced anyways. So, quit being lazy and use the subs, or learn Japanese but most people are way too lazy for that myself included

For me there isn't any dub that is better than the original, but there are some good dubs that I found good like Funimation's Dragon Ball/Z and One Piece.

The best two dubs I've watched were for Baccano! (for the different accents) and Sengoku Basara (sheer hilariousness of the script) xD

The Bebop dub is held to be better in English even among the Japanese director of that show. I personally thought the Cyborg 009 dub was better than the original.
