Naruto - People judge this Anime with high regards, especially those noob Anime starters. Naruto is about ninjas and beating the bad guys with fancy techniques and an army load of flashbacks. If an Anime has a bad storyline, pretty much that Anime would end up crappy. Naruto started out very solidly and enticingly. A boy who has been an outcast of his village because of a demon seal, but yet despise all that, he still wants to become the Hokage, which is the leader of the village. The story is pretty decent and easily likable. But the bad parts about this Anime are the plot holes. You see a lot of meaningless repetitive flashbacks, which makes the solid storyline with holes everywhere, flashbacks every other episode and 5 episode long fights. What makes me look at this Anime in contempt is the characterization development. There are way too many characters, thus making the whole plot slow down, and give more flashbacks to postpone the storyline. Too many characters also lead to incapability of character growth. For example, Naruto seems never to learn from his mistakes. Yes, 2 years later, Shippudden came out, Naruto became 15 years old, and his personality is STILL the same; unable to refrain from himself from doing something stupid that would cause his whole team in disaster (And I thought they were suppose to be "Ninjas"). What also irritates me are the techniques. For some reason, everything is an upgraded version of the prior technique, which makes the character seems really banal. Rasengan to Odama Rasengan to Rasenshuriken. 5 Clones to 100 Clones, then went to 1000 Clones. It lacks originality. What exasperate me even more is that Naruto "God Modes" with his Rasengan. He's always getting beat up at first, then he beats the bad guy with a Rasengan when that guy didn't even take any crucial damage. Also, enemies who were super strong before, become disgustingly weak when they turn 'good'. You see this quite clearly with Gaara's character. Its rather sad and kind of annoying. Then there's the vice versa when characters just randomly decide to turn evil and they are horrendously god-moding strong, like Sasuke.

Bleach - It isn't terrible. In fact, it's almost addicting on a very superficial level. Sorry to all those who love this stuff, but I've seen too many Animes to consider it has anything for a lasting impression. An Anime's plot that has never been planned and the author just keeps coming up with story as he goes alone, resulting one ridiculous storyline that barely explain each character or plot's development.First of all, I don't even know what is the main idea of this story. Naruto wants to become a Hokage, Luffy wants to become Pirate King. What are Ichigo's intentions and goals? So far, all he did was save Rukia, then repeating the same plot again by rescuing Orihime, and wane pathetically after losing a battle. The Anime has a really enticing opening, however, after the first plot and climax was over, things slowed and the ride became bumpy. In my opinion, there was really no need to further continue the story.Instead, they threw in plot twist after plot twist and a shit load of filler adventures and a whole barrage of characters in an attempt to sustain the viewer.
This Anime lacks originality. I can find the exact same elements in Yu Yu Hakusho.

One Piece - I admit that the perfection of this Anime is not in it's art-style, however, it's in the character development that goes along with the storyline. The storyline of One Piece is simple and deep, which is the best combination for a long series in my perspective. Luffy is going to become Pirate King and along the way he recruits nakamas who have different dreams of their own that can only be accomplished by going to sea. Even though the Straw Hat crew member's dreams are different, they assist each other in order to turn their dreams into reality. And such unity exists because of their loyalty and trust in one another. The story seems pretty straight-forward and easy to pick up on from the start, but the plot just keeps thickening and keeps getting deeper in order to get the viewer wanting more. The crew have personalities that are contagious because they captivate you with the way they show their emotions and thoughts through attitude and dialogue. Each character has their own distinct traits that make them unique from others. They also have their weaknesses which they have to overcome time and time again in order to survive and do the right thing. It's interesting to watch how their different personalities can stick together in one group. The element that pushes most people away from this Anime is the art-style, not animation. After a few episodes, you will get used to it and feel that it's very warm-hearting and especially suited for this type of series. OP really is top notch in its animation. During any battle scenes, the movement of Luffy during his Gomu Gomu no... attacks and his Gears are flawless (of course, other characters too). Furthermore, the animation is paired very well with the voice acting, though it can never be perfect, it is of a very high standard. The series also has it's emotional parts too. Scenes such as Robin's cry for help and Going Merry's last wish are tear jerking (Yes, I cried. I'm 16). OP is also one of the Animes that made me laughed out loud. I enjoyed every moment of it's comedy. From Luffy's stupidity (but a genius in battle), to Sanji's love for girls, to Nami's obsession for gold, to Ussop's exaggerated lies, and much more. Oda elaborated the characterizations perfectly along with the story. Everyone is thoughtfully developed. I can't see any flaws in them. To me, they're flawless. Other Shonen Animes like Naruto and Bleach became insipid afterwards, but OP just keeps me wanting more and is never boring. The art-style is odd at first, but in time you'll get used to it and fully comprehend it's richness that goes along with the plot.

So if you haven't seen OP (Subbed), I recommend you to watch it right now.

Sorry, but OP fans owns the shit out of Naruto and Bleach fans.

Either the Narutards or the Haruists (fanbase of the Suzumiya Haruhi novel/anime). However I prefer Haruists to Narutards based on my bias that Haruhi is more enjoyable than Naruto.

Which anime do you think has the hardest core fan base. In my opinion based on this site. I think Onepiece wins by the fact that the fans who defends it is over whelmingly powerful. Well... I think that Naruto has a HUGE number of fans. However after a while it gets old... he keeps screwing up and nearly killing himself. Afterwards he has to rely on the fox to save his ass and then to rape the other person. For a shounen... it's average. The character development and plot are good but it drags on forever. The fights take forever to finish... they just talk and talk. I would just stab him while he was talking and through the flashbacks.

Bleach is pretty good. For the save Rukia ark it was great. Exciting and lots of crazy effects; but after that it went downhill. The bounto ark was just stupid but still ok for a filler. Then they just repeat the same thing but this time with Orihime as the hostage. The plot sucks... 1) Oh no my friend is captured. 2) I must train to save them. 3) Yes i have saved them. 4) Must train again because I feel cranky and pubescent and must hate on everyone else because I could have saved more people. The effects we're great though.

One Piece is probably the best one of the three. The art isn't that great but it fits and it's an older anime. The character development is great. Each character gets a background and has a dream which can be accompleshed with Luffy. The devil fruits are a creative idea. Everyone can have a power which can lead to many different ideas. Some are powerhouses but all have their weaknesses. The arks are great and exciting and the fillers, which there barely is, are funny and interesting; resting after all the excitement and the big battle. The effects are good too and they aren't selfish little idiots either like Naruto; they think of the others in the group.

The Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece fans are huge in numbers. I think Naruto has the most hardcore fan base though since they will freaking attack you if you talk shit about the show. Just once i want to try running through a Naruto convention yelling "GAYS AND FAGS" and see what happens. Maybe they'll take out their kunai and stab me to death. I enjoy these animes but... I still think One Piece is the best of the three.

Ah those wacky, hardcore mecha fans are quite a formidable force...a very different demographic from the hardcore Naruto fans to be sure.

One groups practices jutsus in Hot Topic while the other designs mecha blue prints in privacy?

most of them have also been around long enough to have seen it all. they may not be able to practice jutsus... but they can easily discuss where a certain plot element or story twist has been used before.

And, a very small percentage of the younger mecha fans actually watched the old school stuff. >_>

And, where the hell did that "Mecha blue prints" thing come from? If you're talking about Plamos (Plastic Models), that's exaggerating a bit. o_O;

We mecha fans are nothing like Naruto fans who haven't even bothered to watch something besides Naruto and Bleach.

Rofl i totally agree with that too. Naruto, Bleach and OP has to have the most hardcore fanbase. Actually i couldn't put up with any of them. They all suck ass. Whenever you take a super popular manga and put it into anime mode, you get compiled shit.

Bleach - fillers everywhere. Half of the episodes of bleach are fillers. They seriously suck ass. No one cares if ichigo got a boner, get with the story.

Naruto - again a whole year and a half of fillers. Right now they have themselves into dragon ballz mode, where it takes 18 episodes to one guy and they have super numerous amounts of flashbacks. Fuck U nobody cares how many flashs your having of you kissing sasuke. Besides the more ppl who watch naruto, the less of them can spell "OMGSH THE BESTTT EpiSODEeeee Evorrr. Naurtard TALked, for 24 mins anDDDD thewer nieeeety Flasss Bucks".

OP- what von_hom-chan wrote. 4kids blows. I wish luffy would hurry up and become pirate king already ! Especially the 4kids dubs (the op song is hilarious). So North American OP watchers are hardcore.
